Generally speaking, very pleased with the Google Wifi mesh system. The old app was much more user friendly than the new Google Home app but it works ok. It was nice to actually get good tech support working through the issue which I haven’t had from Google in the past.

The previous Goggle Wifi responded to voice commands similar to Alexa. The current model does not. Very disappointing. Don’t understand why they deleted this feature.

Speeds on the internet side of the router are close to the 1Gbs rate but inside the WiFi network individual devices might get 1/3 of that rate at best. Most of the time devices run at a rate slower than Spectrum cable that I no longer use.

It’s hard to get really excited about Wifi, but it is as good as advertised. It’s easy to set up and very easy to use the software to keep track of data. I have more coverage than I need for a townhouse, but I think it’s a good value.

Had numerous issues with consistent and strong wifi in the house. Had areas that would drop and also just intermittently slow down to other areas with my previous wifi router. Replaced with a couple of Google Wifi points and the problem was solved. Consistent and strong coverage within the whole house, on both stories, including out in the yard (1/2 acre lot).

Just what I needed. Google wifi is everything I expected full coverage throughout the house I like to stream DIY’s and the kids are on the game or other things that cause them to use wifi and Google comes in and give you that extra boost of gaming. No interruption I can stream all day yes this is a must have in your home. Im so satisfied and will most definitely recommend to family and friends.

I received this item to try. We’ve always had several dead spots in the house. Since acquiring this router it has helped tremendously. The worst area was the basement and we are now able get reception. It was fairly easy to set up even for a novice like me. I would probably get another one to extend further

So far so good with the new Google router and WiFi network. Would have loved to have more WiFi points from the beginning as an option when the change over was made from the Google TV service.

Mesh coverage is not good, even with points within 10 feet unobstructed of router. All of the points’ 5ghz bands operate on the same channel, and interfere with other 5ghz devices on the network. Network speeds decrease significantly and become erratic after passing through the router. Cannot speak to quality of 2.4ghz band at this time. Google does not allow user adjustments to band and channel selection to improve wifi quality on Wifi or Google devices. Limited Ethernet ports hinder ability to create stronger network backbone while still connecting devices via Ethernet.
