I have been a satisfied owner of Google Wi-Fi for 3 years. I have had zero issues with it, and it is one of the easiest network setups I have ever done. It takes all of the guesswork out of setting up your home network.

Amazing devices. One I figured out the appropriate placement for the units, we now have full coverage throughout the house for all devices.

Google has the best Wifi in Kansas City, MO One of the best choices I have ever made!!

Very disappointed. Tried mixing google wifi with nest and just a mess. Tools dont show enough information.

Great improvement to my Google Fiber network. I prefer the mesh network this creates vs. the single network box that we had originally. My home is large and now I have excellent WiFi coverage in every room. Highly recommended!!

Bumped up my throughput without paying The ISP. rate increase.

I had the Google Mesh system installed for about a year. I recently upgraded my NAS backup device to a Western Digital My Cloud. It wasn’t working properly, then over night it stopped working. It turned out the Eithernet connection failed. I tried swapping Mesh devices to make one of the other devices the router, that worked only briefly as the Eithernet port failed on it too. Also, trying to reconfigure the devices to act as a mesh system was impossible. I finally replaced the Google mesh system with another product. I found the devices were poorly made as well.

I had a great customer experience recently when I had trouble getting my wifi nest to connect to one of the pods. Thanks for the help.

Overall the reception and speed seem to be faster than the previous Google WiFi system. However, we have quite a few disconnects and dropped signals that we did not have with the previous Google Wifi. We are trying various things (removing google home minis from the rooms with a Nest Wifi and removing the Google Wifi units as part of the mesh to see if this remedies the issues. We will update the review once we have tested more.

So far Google WiFi has performed great! No issues keeping the laptops connected, easy setup and easy to add in multiple wired products to eliminate issues staying connected to WiFi.

I received 2 Google WiFi units from Google Fiber when they discontinued their cable service. Setting them up was very easy using their Google Home app on my phone. Just follow the instructions on the app and scan the QR code when prompted. The Google WiFi devices auto update on their own. So far both devices have been operating for over two weeks with no issues. Having two access points in the house now I don’t have any weak areas. These are for people who just want WiFi in their home without being a IT Technician. Yes there are other choices out there that offer more user settings, but these mesh units work without any issues.

This was quite difficult to set up. I was switching out an older wifi router and point for the newer one supporting the improved mesh. So I would have the new router with the two older devices as points. My place is 1220 sq ft over 2 floors so this should have given me blazing coverage. The setup of the new router was a pain. It immediately went to an orange light which the (very meager) instructions tell you means “call us”. The LAST thing I want to do is spend half a day on the phone with support. The old point became the new point fairly easily but the old router was another pain to install. It also had an orange light. An online search revealed how to do a factory reset and eventually I got it connected. As for performance – I also have a wifi 6 router and on the 5 GHz band it gives almost twice the performance at the farthest distance than the farthest Google wifi mesh point even when I’m right beside the point. So yes – I’m quite disappointed with this Google mesh system

I was using a tp link ax 21 and I’m surprised at the lack of features it has for being a Wi-Fi 6 router. After comparing it to Google Wi-Fi the Google Wi-Fi is much smoother. Im on a 1GB speed plan and im surprised to say google Wi-Fi out performs my ax 21 router at least from personal experiences and I do own Wi-Fi 6 devices such as iPhone 12 Pro and iPad Pro 2020. So I can’t wait until Google releases their version of Wi-Fi 6. But until then I’m happy to be using the Google Wi-Fi. I should also mention I have the original Google Wifi as my primary and I’m using a Google on hub as my access point. Also we normally have between 15-20 devices connected. So to conclude I am very pleased with Google Wifi and it outperforms my mid entry level Wi-Fi 6 router based on my personal experience.

I like it much more than the old default router. Strongly recommend switching to 1g and the nest

I’m really satisfied with my Google WiFi mesh network. It’s been incredibly reliable and I’ve expanded it as our needs have evolved. Only compliant is the recent setup process for adding new points in the Google Home app was more tedious than it once was with the Google WiFi app.

I love these little mesh devices, they made great coverage across my house and have been set and forget.

Not a dead corner in our house! Speed is great and we have all of our devices running!

It’s not what I thought. But it’s still useful. I thought it was an extender. Still don’t really understand the purpose for it for me, being I have an extender that is one, and I have a whole set up already.
