Works fine. Doesn’t go away like other services do.

The google wifi is super easy to setup and I’ve enjoyed my setup now for over a year with zero issues at all. Compared to Linksys or D-Link routers that I’ve had fail every year or two these units seem rock solid. Speed is also good clocking right at 500mbps throughout the house but keep in mind in order to achieve that you need ethernet wired with these units plugged into them so they can share the incoming internet at the best speed. I used them for 6 months without the ethernet and speeds weren’t all that impressive once you got away from the main unit … talking going from almost 500mbps to about 75mbps. That’s still fine more most stuff but if you are streaming or wanting to download new games quickly getting all you can of your internet pipe with the units wired to ethernet is the way to go. Keep in mind I only had to wire 3 rooms in the house with ethernet to give myself full 500mbps coverage throughout the entire house so well worth the effort.

I will always miss Google cable but we are getting used to using streaming services with Google wifi. Sometimes still get freezing issues but it doesn’t last long. Using Utube TV which for the most part fulfills our needs.

Nest was great at first, then all the Windows PCs (currently 4 machines) slowed down. I have my old Linksys router setup to carry the PC traffic as it is significantly faster. As a spot check, Nest shows an internet connection of 230 Mbps down / 6 up, and a “Great” mesh connection. My 3 unit Google WiFi mesh worked great an solved all my dead spot problems. Now that I’ve had it a couple years, the mesh crashes once a week–all the units flash orange and I can’t connect to them to diagnose via the app. I suspect one of the units needs to be replaced, but the app doesn’t help me discover which. It just tells me when things are okay.

Had this system for a few years and it works great anywhere in my 3700 sq foot home. Recently had some problems but got tech support online in minutes and was walked through a system reset. Great system and awesome tech support.

My apartment walls are made of Cement so I ordered 3 devices and linked them together and my wifi still doesn’t work well

Love the mesh with fiber and no service issues. It just works.

I am very pleased with the unit. It was easy to setup with the app. The app also has many features which makes everything easy to manage. The specs and features are fully covered on the web so I will not list them here. It works great throughout my home with multiple users. I definitely think this is the way to go for WIFI.

I like the ease of setup of the Google Wifi but wish there were more SSIDs capable. This way I can create a separate SSID for other IOT devices, where I can allow directional/firewalled access between such devices. I know there is Main SSID, Family, and Guest but still wish I had the option to allow something separate for IOT devices. I also wish I could control or configure from my desktop but I am only able to use my Smart Phone. I have a few drawbacks but I am an advanced user but for someone that just needs to expand the WiFi within there residence this is a great product and have suggested it to many of my clients.

Great performance and range with 4 ports in 4000 home but administrator ( my son) accidentally shut down network and I was a challenge to set back up. But we got it done.

The FiberOptics is great and the Google units fit perfectly.

One of the sadnesses of leaving Germany was losing my fiber optic connection. And moving to the west valley of Salt Lake was pure torture. Now it’s wonderful again!! Quick and easy installation and good equipment.

Google Wifi is super easy to setup and is incredibly convenient. Coverage is so good, in fact, that it has created a problem for me when trying to add devices to Homekit. Since both 2.4 and 5.0 ghz connections are simultaneously active, and I need a 2.4 connection to connect to Homekit devices, I really struggle with that, since setting 2.4 or 5.0 ONLY is not an option. Even when I unplug one of the access points, it’s hard to NOT be connected to 5.0 ghz. That’s really good, but also a little annoying for me. Otherwise, I’ve had this system for a few years now and don’t see any reason or need to change!

Google WiFi Is a great device that allowed for strong steady WiFi distribution through out the entire house. It was quick and easy to set up, it only took about 3 or 4 minutes. You do not have to change any of ur modems or routers, it just takes what’s already there and improves it. However it does require that u download the google home app. The google home app allows u to control the WiFi device and any other smart google products all under the same app and it’s easy to use as well. I should point out that this device will not take slow internet speeds and make them faster, but what it does is essentially untangles the WiFi so that it works better throughout the house. There is no cons to using this product, it’s quick to set up , it’s easy to use, it makes the WiFi efficient and u can put it just about anywhere in the house. I love how it’s sleek design blends in with any decor for a simple/modern feel.

I’m glad I bought this three pack and can recommend it for a two story house around 2700 sqft. I bought it for the managing devices on the network and it was an breeze to setup and use. Although, I feel it could be a bit more intuitive to schedule the device usage times. For example, when setting a “schedule” is that scheduled up time or down time? Not hard to figure out but a bit time consuming from the trial and error required. Not an issue with set-it-and-forget situation but, when trying to change often and when scheduling get’s complicated with multiple days, devices and times.

I’ve had a great experience with my Google Wifi setup in the few weeks since I’ve had it. It immediately solved issues I’d been having with some of my connected devices being dropped from my Xfinity router and the signal strength with only 1 or 2 hubs has been great. That said, the Home app you need to use with it is not great. The old Google Wifi device was much better, had more features, and was more stable. With the Home app, it’s about 50/50 if it will pull up the Wifi interface or if it gives me an error when I try to go to the Wifi dashboard. The Google Wifi app works every time and has more useful features. In general though, the Google Wifi hardware is great.

Using 4 Google wifi points. 3 on the main level and one above and the signal strength is very weak. Looks like I need to buy 3 or 4 more to have a strong signal…
