The upload and download speeds are far better than my experience with competitors. The app is easy to use. Even the router itself is more aesthetic than any other option. The biggest drawback is every time we have lost power getting the wifi back up and running has been a multi-hour process on the phone with the Google team.

This Google Wifi is very easy to set up and does what it claims to do. Sometimes I have a very weak signal in the bedroom. This took care of the problem. We have 6 things hooked up to wifi in our house and the Google Wifi has greatly improved the connection and speed. I would recommend this to friends and family.

Constantly having to reset itGoogle says it’s the internet provider

Google’s attempt at Mesh WiFi is pretty solid. Coverage is abundant in an older home with varying materials impacting signal strength. This system allowed me to downgrade my internet connection coming into the home and still achieve reasonable performance. Would like to see Google improve on the app experience since decommissioning the Google WiFi app. Bundling everything into a single interface isn’t always ideal, especially when dealing with multiple technologies like WiFi and Smart Home segments.

I have had Netgear, Apple, and other lesser known Wi-Fi routers. Without a doubt, Google’s is the best. It is easier to install, easier to maintain, easier to expand (just expanded from 3 to 5, including an adjacent building with NO issues). It is also less intrusive in size and styling. Basically, it does exactly what a Wi-Fi router should do: sits quietly and unnoticeable in the corner and does its job.

Bought the mesh network and was really easy setting it up and my whole house had excellent coverage and speed. Very easy to control and shut down wifi to the kiddos

For the most part I am very happy with the increased range of my Wi-Fi The only problem I’m having is trying to get my printer on the same network.

I strongly discourage these for anyone with technical aptitude as the app-based and only app-based administration is very poor. Both the Google Wifi and Google Home apps are very poor in understanding what possible issue these things are having. I’ve reset them repeatedly and ultimately had to delete my Google Home AND reset them to finally get them working again. Only to set one of them up and move to the next, and then the app wants to tell you which one is next, even if it’s the one you just setup. Absolutely zero constructive feedback during the setup process. Just timed prompts and the impression that it’s doing something or “making good progress” when it absolutely isn’t and won’t but you’ll never know why. Had I not been under time pressure to have working wifi, I’d have chucked these in the trash and got something else. Of course, now that they are working again, they function well enough. But you’re still giving Google your most private data at the end of the day. Good luck.

This Wi-Fi was so easy to install, and is an incredibly dependable network. I had nothing but problems and frustration before switching to Google Wi-Fi. I am sold!

I was sooooo excited to get this! The set up was super simple and easy to follow instructions. Took literally very little time and it was up and running. This is almost unheard of for me as I’ve always had to call customer service with past wifi setup issues. The range is my only complaint. And it might be because I only have one and not a set but I am not sure. My sons bedroom which is downstairs seems to be the weakest spot but its not horrible. The rest of the house is fast like it should be though!

Google Wifi the best customer support ever. I’m old and need help. Kind knowledgable Techs determined to fix my problem.

Works as advertised. Very fast. Seemlessly integrated into Google Home. The interface to manage and configure is simple and easy to use. Recommended product.

The price break Google offered for sunsetting OnHub devices was top-notch. The quality of the new Nest router and point are top notch. The only thing keeping from a five-star review is that the handoff / install from that existing on hub router was less than seamless. Was hoping that the two Google devices would do a bit more of a handshake/exchange information. Relatively minor inconvenience but did add 15 minutes of research and troubleshooting to the install process.

Took some time to setup. Had an error the first day I tried. No problem the next day. Maybe I just had bad luck. Great wifi now that it’s working.

Nashwell Cafe would become a walking nightmare with multiple virtual assistants answering unwanted requests for information and talking over each other. To avoid this living hell we have opted for the Google WiFi option, where simple mesh coverage and an allowance for devices expand the wireless internet from our Netgear Nighthawk wireless modem. Google WiFi provides the extra coverage and service for devices we need without the undesired Google Nest WiFi addition of virtual assistants chiming in every time someone says “Hey Google”.

Has been going in and out for about a month now. Have talked to ISP and google. Google told me basically to restart the network and they would get back to me after I left them my number because they needed time to monitor the state of the wifi. They have since never contacted me again. Before this we had absolutely no issues and it was perfect and boosted our Internet speeds by a bunch. Would be awesome if google was helpful though.

The overall speed of the Google Fiber is great, but the WiFi system in the house provided by the “pucks” is far from ideal. I have intermittent issues where my computer will lose the WiFi connection when I am in the middle of a conference call for no reason whatsoever. I still have not been able to figure out why this is happening, but it is an unacceptable situation. I don’t know how long I will keep this setup before I have to try something else.

I recently added my 3rd router to my network and the coverage is outstanding. There are zero dead spots in the house now, and the coverage extends well into the area around the house. I’m also no longer having issues with devices dropping off the network, I have 35-40 devices connected at any given time, and I feel confident I could add dozens more without issue.

I can’t say enough good things about Google WiFi. It has changed everything in our house. We used to have multiple wifi signal boosters, each with a different name, scattered around the house and we still didn’t have good coverage. Google WiFi changed all that and I could never go back to just a router system. We have excellent coverage all through the house. I would recommend this to anyone!
