They can be individually configured to perform as a router or as satellites for your mesh network. Each is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor with 512MB of memory to handle up to 100 connected devices simultaneously with beamforming to deliver smooth 4K video streaming, video chats, online gaming experiences, and more throughout your home. Installing the Google Wifi wireless mesh network system is designed to be straightforward and easy. Simply connect the router to your modem, position each satellite throughout your home for optimal coverage, then use the Google Home app to configure the wireless network. The Google Wifi devices also include two Gigabit Ethernet ports—one connects to your modem while the other works as an access point for wired network devices such as computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more. Your wireless signal is secured with WPA3 encryption.

Oh my god, we hit the jackpot when we found this little beauty! We were having the worst lagging whenever we tried to stream movies or football games. Then we ordered this and it was so freaking easy to set up. Basically a “plug and play” type of electronic. Our internet speeds went from 22mbps to over 700-1000mbps!! We are so happy with this product we are going to get the nest point next so we can get the same service throughout our entire 5 bedroom 2 bath 2 story house. So excited!

Not what I expected. I have a 2000 sq. ft house and had to install (1) router and also (4) Wi-Fi Google access points lined up throughout the house. Still have (2) okay connections and (2) great connections. I expected more from Google

I am so impressed by the amount of functions this has. I really thought the set up was quite easy. Downloading the app and getting the device hooked up was fast. We like that it has the capability to have its own network for guests, that is awesome. Super fast upload and download speeds and our house is 1500sq ft and coverage is great. I am definitely sticking with this and definitely recommend.

The speed between the 2 units is great (700-800 mbps). But, I see no practical (opening web pages, accessing email etc) speed increase between the 1 gig fiber and my previous 100 mbps service. I am getting a lot of buffering when streaming and very poor wireless connectivity under certain conditions that did not happen with my previous service and wireless configuration. Not impressed.

Google has never been great for me. I changed recently to the upgrade and was hoping that would help and it does some. Today, I can’t even get through a video and can barely get my google mail to open. Just a lot of hype about google.

The overall speed of the Google Fiber is great, but the WiFi system in the house provided by the “pucks” is far from ideal. I have intermittent issues where my computer will lose the WiFi connection when I am in the middle of a conference call for no reason whatsoever. I still have not been able to figure out why this is happening, but it is an unacceptable situation. I don’t know how long I will keep this setup before I have to try something else.
