Have a stable, reliable wireless network signal by installing the Google Wifi Mesh System in your home. Comprised of three devices for up to 4500 square feet of coverage, each 802.11ac Wi-Fi point supports a maximum data throughput of 1200 Mb/s over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signal bands. They can be individually configured to perform as a router or as satellites for your mesh network. Each is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor with 512MB of memory to handle up to 100 connected devices simultaneously with beamforming to deliver smooth 4K video streaming, video chats, online gaming experiences, and more throughout your home. Installing the Google Wifi wireless mesh network system is designed to be straightforward and easy. Simply connect the router to your modem, position each satellite throughout your home for optimal coverage, then use the Google Home app to configure the wireless network. The Google Wifi devices also include two Gigabit Ethernet ports—one connects to your modem while the other works as an access point for wired network devices such as computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more. Your wireless signal is secured with WPA3 encryption.

Download speed had long been a big concern in my making a living….trading e-mini contracts. Thanks, Google. You really make the stock market alive now.

Easy to setup and great range. Two pucks cover my whole building

Great WIFI but wired connection sucks! I have a 1600sqft home with Google nest Wi-Fi router as my main, 1 nest puck and 3 google wifi routers. I have a 1000g switch connected to the Google nest Wi-Fi router and anything connected to that the speed is cut by over half. I’ve looked at forums and have tried all troubleshooting techniques. Even just hardwiring my computer from the nest, removing the switch from the equation, speed is cut by over half so it must share the same processor for upstream and downstream and just can’t keep up. Disappointed!

I’ve had google wifi for 1.5 years and have been very happy with the wifi. The google wifi app worked very well, but google phased it out and forced everyone to switch to the Home app to manage their google wifi. The Home app doesn’t do basic things. It directed me to update the software for my wifi. When I did so, the Home app just stayed on the “Updating software” as if it was still trying to update. Same thing when I tried to put one of my wifi points in a “room.” I just want an app that easily lets me manage the wifi, but google wants me to use their fancy, buggy new app in the hopes that I’ll automate my whole house with their software. Not going to happen. May have to investigate other mesh systems.

Works great and love that all the wifi pts have an ethernet connection.

Great improvement to my Google Fiber network. I prefer the mesh network this creates vs. the single network box that we had originally. My home is large and now I have excellent WiFi coverage in every room. Highly recommended!!

I strongly discourage these for anyone with technical aptitude as the app-based and only app-based administration is very poor. Both the Google Wifi and Google Home apps are very poor in understanding what possible issue these things are having. I’ve reset them repeatedly and ultimately had to delete my Google Home AND reset them to finally get them working again. Only to set one of them up and move to the next, and then the app wants to tell you which one is next, even if it’s the one you just setup. Absolutely zero constructive feedback during the setup process. Just timed prompts and the impression that it’s doing something or “making good progress” when it absolutely isn’t and won’t but you’ll never know why. Had I not been under time pressure to have working wifi, I’d have chucked these in the trash and got something else. Of course, now that they are working again, they function well enough. But you’re still giving Google your most private data at the end of the day. Good luck.

The Google Wi-Fi system is great. It’s easy to setup and the quality is great. As long as you don’t mind associating your Google account with your browsing history, but if you are using Chrome you are already doing that anyway. I have 4 of these in my house, adding a new once recently to the 3 I’ve had for years. Again adding a new one is super easy and does not require any advanced knowledge. The app is pretty good as well, occupying a dedicated secrtion in the Google Home app. you can do a speed test from the app as well as test the mesh configuration to make sure there aren’t any dead zones. The device itself does have 2 ethernet ports, one for an inbound connection from the router and the other for an outbound connection to a device. For the remote units you actually can use both ports for outbound. The reason I took one star off is because of one oddity in the settings. While it does allow you to assign a priority device, you can only do so for up to 4 hours. Why not permanently?

Very good wifi, easy to set I’m not having any problems

The “upgrade” to the Wifi points from the network boxes definitely was a downgrade in wifi performance. Webpages clock before loading. Google needs to resolve this. Very disappointing.

My Xfinity WiFi had much faster download speeds. The WiFi has not been better…

used a lot of tech, had issues with wifi in current home due to old construction but 3 of these lil google points and wifi everywhere even in the front and back yards

Pros:Incredible range. I am able to connect a laptop and stream video at 100′ outside of the house. Good and bad here, make sure that you secure your network.Good coverage in the house with multiple devices. 6 laptops, 3 TVs, 5 phones, network printer multiple Google Homes and more all connected and often times streaming simultaneously, no problems.Cons:Only 1 ethernet port per device.Automatically tries to connect at 5 gHz. This can be a problem with older wireless devices (like my grill controller) which only connect at 2.5 gHz. I wish there was a way to select at which frequency you connect. I know this can be overcome by moving farther away from my network, but its a pain all the same…Overall, I feel that this is a very good wifi system and would recommend it to others.

Great mesh – I would give it 5 stars if I could only change the 5G channel.I have a wireless device that makes the upper channels unusable – so I my wifi devices just use the 2.4g band.It would be an easy fix – just a choice between upper and lower bands to keep it simple. I know in non US countries they use the lower channels.

In the first 3 weeks I owned these I was only able to get them fully working for one week after chatting with support for over an hour. The devices never worked in ‘backhaul’ mode consistently, and would not provide internet to devices located behind a switch that was hardwired to one of the pucks.I spent another 2 hours with support trying to get them to work and was unable to do so. I switched to another product that provides similar capabilities, and within 15 minutes had it set up and working with no issues, and the realized speed at all points was at least 3-5x faster than when using the Google Wifi product.I normally really like Google products and loved the concept of these, but the execution was lacking. I’m in the process of trying to return them now.

As someone who works in tech all day (and at home since COVID), I don’t want to spend time configuring and troubleshooting a wireless network. I want it to work and not give me any issues. Google Wifi has been the easiest to manage network I’ve ever installed.

The best wifi I have ever had. No complaints easy set up and runs beautifully. I was worried it wouldn’t be worth it but with the price, easy set up, and excellent output it is definitely worth it.

This lil Google WiFi is pretty cool. It was very easy to set up. It’s a cute night light it makes no noise at all. This this is a lil power house for sure. We have a very busy household. We are working from home and the kids are doing all there school work online and when there not doing school work they are gaming and this Google WiFi is keeping up with all of it. We couldn’t do that before we got this. We all had a schedule for when we could be online. I love it!!!
