Each is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor with 512MB of memory to handle up to 100 connected devices simultaneously with beamforming to deliver smooth 4K video streaming, video chats, online gaming experiences, and more throughout your home. Installing the Google Wifi wireless mesh network system is designed to be straightforward and easy. Simply connect the router to your modem, position each satellite throughout your home for optimal coverage, then use the Google Home app to configure the wireless network. The Google Wifi devices also include two Gigabit Ethernet ports—one connects to your modem while the other works as an access point for wired network devices such as computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more. Your wireless signal is secured with WPA3 encryption.

The Google Nest WiFi unit is small and compact but does an amazing job of making sure internet reaches our entire home. My family and I were all pleasantly surprised by the strength of the signal it puts out and the fact that the signal is strong no matter where you are inside out 2800 square foot home. It even works well in our detached garage. Setup was very easy and required only a few minutes of our time. It also increase both our download and upload speeds from the speeds we had with our previous WiFi unit. We run several laptops, televisions and phones all simultaneously with no problems. I am very pleased with the Google Nest and can very much recommend it.

Purchased Google Mesh 3 pack. Devices are effective in improving Wifi throughout the house. Devices are susceptible to outdated house wiring. Had one device completely short out, and two of the 3 power supplies die. Shift to Google Home app makes utilizing / creating a Wifi network more challenging than prior Google Wifi app. After having the devices suffer the outages, I attempted to reset the working 2 to create a new network. Required the devices to be factory reset through the physical button to become detected on Google Home app, then through App had to go through the “factory reset” for software as well. A lot of effort simply to troubleshoot and redo my wifi.

Although once established, the product worked fine, if any power interruption occurred the Mesh would have to be rebooted to factory settings and take 2 hrs to complete. After the second time, I got fed up and returned it.

The process of resetting and reconnecting a rogue wifi point is vague at best and I had to do my own research and a lot of troubleshooting to get it working again, but despite that road bump and wishing it had a few more Ethernet ports on the bottom, it is a consistent, reliable connection through our whole house.
