Have a stable, reliable wireless network signal by installing the Google Wifi Mesh System in your home. Comprised of three devices for up to 4500 square feet of coverage, each 802.11ac Wi-Fi point supports a maximum data throughput of 1200 Mb/s over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signal bands. They can be individually configured to perform as a router or as satellites for your mesh network. Each is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor with 512MB of memory to handle up to 100 connected devices simultaneously with beamforming to deliver smooth 4K video streaming, video chats, online gaming experiences, and more throughout your home. Installing the Google Wifi wireless mesh network system is designed to be straightforward and easy. Simply connect the router to your modem, position each satellite throughout your home for optimal coverage, then use the Google Home app to configure the wireless network. The Google Wifi devices also include two Gigabit Ethernet ports—one connects to your modem while the other works as an access point for wired network devices such as computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more. Your wireless signal is secured with WPA3 encryption.

I have been happy with all the other migrations, making Google Home a one stop shop, the WiFi however does not fit into that category. Going from the Nest app to the Google Home app means I lose the ability to support more than 5 locations. AND you cannot use it with G-Suite accounts, as a non-profit this is making it difficult to utilize.

I was excited to think I would get full coverage with a 3 pack mesh wifi system but it has poor wall penetration to the point where I have lost connection from the mesh network just one wall away which is nothing but drywall between the wifi system. I don’t know if my next system will be a Google/nest system. I wouldn’t mind trying the second generation or a third one if it comes out this year but I am displeased with my 3 pack Google wifi. I am a big fan of Google products with getting most of the products released so it’s disappointing the quality isn’t as good as it could be

On May 1, 2021, Google switched their App from the Google Wi-Fi to the Google Home App and even though I followed the recommendation to switch over to the new app prior to May 1st and everything was running just fine; On April 30th at midnight my Google Wifi Nest stop working and had to be totally re-initialized and every device that was using the Google Wifi Nest re-attached to the nest. Since that time, I have had to re-attach several devices that seem to, for no apparent reason, lose the wifi network. After about the third time that I re-attached those devices(3 of 21) they have seemed to stabilize and as of now no longer require me to re-attach them. Luckily I am technically capable and could work through these issues, but an end user should not have had to do what I did to make the transition from Google Wi-Fi to the Google Home App!!

I was having wifi issues at home, and even considered switching ISPs, but after adding this system it’s faster and better signal than ever.

Google mesh is functional, but limited in capacity. We have no complaints in performance for alarm sensors, but it can’t handle video and audio very well in our experience.

This is an older device and doesn’t work as well as the newer devices. Its great as a backup device though.

Bought a new cable modem and google support was excellent at helping me reconnect the google WiFi router and 2 extra points. Had no WiFi at house so was using my cellular data but they were very patient with me. Very appreciative

After struggling with all brands of wireless routers, I decided to try Google routers. After all most of my electronics are compatible with Google home. Thus was the best decision I made. I have not had any issues with loss of communication and all.my equipment is connected at all time.

Seamless app/net device. Jack for Ethernet wired connection is a real plus.

Prior to purchasing the Google Mesh Wifi, my internet speeds were just awful. After I purchased and setup the system, which was SUPER easy, my speeds went from 70 at best to over 200. Not a glitch since I installed it.

Very easy to setup. Saw improvement instantly. Highly recommend.

I’ve had it for a long time now and I’ve recommended it to many people.I don’t like that you can’t separate the bands and choose which speed guest networks or certain devices use.It doesn’t have the latest wifi tech and my speeds are slower than they could be with a different system.

I purchased the google nest wifi to use as an extension point in my garage for the wifi so that my cameras and such would have better signals it has worked perfectly for this situation.

Honestly, my initial reason for buying this was to extend my WiFi in a mesh throughout my home. It works exactly as expected, 100% satisfied! In addition, upon downloading and using the app, I’ve come to realize just how much of my home can be either already controlled using Google Home, or added to it with some minor hardware upgrades. Shoot, I just bought WiFi light switches to now control my whole house fan, and I’ll be adding ones with “dimmer feature” (or something like that) to hook up new ceiling fans I have planned to hand in the family room and my master bedroom. It’s truly been a wonderful addition to my home.

I recently moved to a new place and had to set up my wifi again. After moving all of my Google devices, they failed to reconnect when connected to the new modem. The setup process, only available in the Google Home app didn’t give me any feedback as to what might not be working correctly and sent me to the help pages, which were of no actual help. I decided to delete my original home network and create a new one, which meant factory resetting the routers. I had to consult another online tutorial to figure out how to do this, and even afterward, there was a waiting period of several minutes to reset each device, during which time there was no actual way to know what was going on behind the scenes. I understand Google is trying to make the setup process very simple and streamlined, but this meant having no visibility when trying to troubleshoot. Now that things are working again, I have no complaints about the actual devices and network. I just wish the process had gone more smoothly.
