They can be individually configured to perform as a router or as satellites for your mesh network. Each is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor with 512MB of memory to handle up to 100 connected devices simultaneously with beamforming to deliver smooth 4K video streaming, video chats, online gaming experiences, and more throughout your home. Installing the Google Wifi wireless mesh network system is designed to be straightforward and easy. Simply connect the router to your modem, position each satellite throughout your home for optimal coverage, then use the Google Home app to configure the wireless network. The Google Wifi devices also include two Gigabit Ethernet ports—one connects to your modem while the other works as an access point for wired network devices such as computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more. Your wireless signal is secured with WPA3 encryption.

I’ve had the Google WiFi for quite some time. The problem is the model I have is very outdated. It is very stable (although limited in features).My big issue is the new Google Nest doesn’t have WiFi6 nor does it appear to have a wired port to connect devices with. This is very limiting and I won’t buy the new one until it does.

The Google Wifi Mesh system is precisely what was needed to ensure that all of our smart devices were online and functioning properly. Having multiple TVs streaming and handheld devices always in use took up a lot of broadband, making the more important security, surveillance, and access equipment fall short on performance. After upgrading to Google Mesh WiFi with two additional access points, the coverage and strength of connectivity are unrecognizable. I am very pleased with the decision to, say the least.

Everytime we lose power or the pods get unplugged the pods don’t reconnect when the power is restored. I have to restore the whole system each time. Pain

I recently switched my wifi routers to the Google WiFi system and I have to say I am not surprised by how well integrated the mesh has felt. The setup was extremely useful and made connecting all my other switches, lights and cameras connect instantaneously. I was using PoE Ubiquity routers which worked well but failed to reconnect all my smart devices if a power outtage happened. After my 3rd outtage I had it… bought the Google WiFi mesh 2016 model for ethernet. Once I set the system up through the Google Home app with the same WiFi name and password, everything connected like nothing happened. I knew I had made the right decision going with Google. I highly recommend this product as they are top quality and the software integration is seamless.

I was unfamiliar with this product but I must say it was very easy to setup. The package includes an Ethernet cable which is convenient to have. The product doesn’t take up space and it has a nice status light in which the brightness can be controlled via the Google Home app. I was able to connect other devices to the wifi that I normally couldn’t due to their location in the house and now they connect. Unfortunately the signal does disconnect and become unstable at times but overall it is a nice product to have.
