Have a stable, reliable wireless network signal by installing the Google Wifi Mesh System in your home. Comprised of three devices for up to 4500 square feet of coverage, each 802.11ac Wi-Fi point supports a maximum data throughput of 1200 Mb/s over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signal bands. They can be individually configured to perform as a router or as satellites for your mesh network. Each is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor with 512MB of memory to handle up to 100 connected devices simultaneously with beamforming to deliver smooth 4K video streaming, video chats, online gaming experiences, and more throughout your home. Installing the Google Wifi wireless mesh network system is designed to be straightforward and easy. Simply connect the router to your modem, position each satellite throughout your home for optimal coverage, then use the Google Home app to configure the wireless network. The Google Wifi devices also include two Gigabit Ethernet ports—one connects to your modem while the other works as an access point for wired network devices such as computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more. Your wireless signal is secured with WPA3 encryption.

I thought it was going to be faster. But it’s constantly off line and doesn’t turn back. Overall sucks. Sorry Google.

I was sooooo excited to get this! The set up was super simple and easy to follow instructions. Took literally very little time and it was up and running. This is almost unheard of for me as I’ve always had to call customer service with past wifi setup issues. The range is my only complaint. And it might be because I only have one and not a set but I am not sure. My sons bedroom which is downstairs seems to be the weakest spot but its not horrible. The rest of the house is fast like it should be though!

Advertised as 1gig per sec. Actual speed was 350 MPS. My AT

Google wifi won’t connect to my Comcast. it continues to disconnect from my Google phone.

Purchased a 3-pack of the Google WiFi routers. Was quick and easy to set up after we had to replace our old modem and router. The range of the mesh system is a gigantic upgrade from our old N-300. I also love the option of parental controls, setting device priority, and live bandwidth usage data from the Home app.

the wifi picks are a great idea. however, support is so generic. the answer to every issue is ‘factory reset’. this takes at least 10-15 mins. worked great for about 18 months. now, wired pucks are randomly going offline. how? these are wired….support tells you to factory reset. wifi app now folded into home app and is now slower.

The Google Wifi mesh is easy to setup and the application software is easy to use, I blanket my 3000 sq.ft house and the family is very happy with the coverage.

Google needs to get their act together, do they actually design their products and apps to intentionally frustrate customers?Already having 3 Google wifi points, many speakers, display hub, Chromecasts, doorbell and thermostat set up in a “Home”, trying to add a new Nest router and point is an all day project!Basically, you’re forced to factory reset everything and build an entirely new “Home”, delete the existing”Home” from everyone’s devices, and then “reinvite” all members of the “Home”.Had I known how bad it would be, I would have just bought a couple more pucks or went with a completely different wifi mesh system. My suggestion is ONLY purchase this system if you’re building your first mesh or don’t have many devices already.

We get very good TV and Wi-Fi in the basement and main floor with only two google nest devices.
Orion Lowe (verified owner) –
Easy to setup and configure. Best thing I can say is that, “it just works”.

Nest was great at first, then all the Windows PCs (currently 4 machines) slowed down. I have my old Linksys router setup to carry the PC traffic as it is significantly faster. As a spot check, Nest shows an internet connection of 230 Mbps down / 6 up, and a “Great” mesh connection. Only bridge mode with mesh. Poor filtering and scheduling features

Easy to setup, works great! Tried other wifi extenders and non of them worked, this worked first try!

My device is moody. It comes and goes by itself. It dances around when it comes back. It changes my monitor mode (watching from my camera) to a clock mode by itself. I feel like I am dealing with a little puppy. It is not easy to train this little fellow.

My google wifi, has changed my life!!! It was easy to install, easy to setup, and changed the Wi-Fi all over my entire house! I now have the same coverage in every single room! I am so in love with this! I wish i would have known about it months ago!!! I love the speed, and how quickly I saw improvement to my wifi! You do still have to pay for your internet service, but this gives you strong Wi-Fi connection throughout your entire house! I love that I can see how many devices are connected, and also disconnect them with just the click of my phone! I am highly impressed, and will be buying a few more of these!

I have setup a number of routers over the years and some have definitely been more user friendly than others and this one from Google was no exception. It combines easy set up and features top of the line security protocols to combine the best of both worlds. I have the single unit which provides fairly good coverage across my entire home but its best feature is the ability to add additional units for greater coverage across even the largest of homes. One unit works well for me now but I am moving to a larger home this spring and it will be simple for me to purchase additional units in order to have coverage across my new larger home.

While Google WiFi works as best as it can for our home, as we live in an area with very low internet speed anyway, the actual equipment works fine but the software that goes with it has become very complicated since everything moved from a simple Google WiFi application, to the Google Home Application. Set up was very complicated and hard to understand and the new app is very hard to understand and navigate since we only use it for the internet and WiFi. We do not have any Google Nest equipment or anything else powered by Google. At times it won’t give us information we need such as devices and what they are using as far as internet upload and download. I liked the other platform much better.

Might be the easiest way to have a home Mesh Network, and manage your WiFi networks. Granted, Google Wifi is now quite old, but still packs a punch. Bonus, it’s compatible with Nest Wifi products!

Supposed to be getting around 1 g on my service but the Google mesh regulates it way below what I need

I’ve had my Google WiFi units for a few years now, through a couple of moves, and they remain reliable, with good coverage throughout the house.
