Have a stable, reliable wireless network signal by installing the Google Wifi Mesh System in your home. Comprised of three devices for up to 4500 square feet of coverage, each 802.11ac Wi-Fi point supports a maximum data throughput of 1200 Mb/s over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signal bands. They can be individually configured to perform as a router or as satellites for your mesh network. Each is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor with 512MB of memory to handle up to 100 connected devices simultaneously with beamforming to deliver smooth 4K video streaming, video chats, online gaming experiences, and more throughout your home. Installing the Google Wifi wireless mesh network system is designed to be straightforward and easy. Simply connect the router to your modem, position each satellite throughout your home for optimal coverage, then use the Google Home app to configure the wireless network. The Google Wifi devices also include two Gigabit Ethernet ports—one connects to your modem while the other works as an access point for wired network devices such as computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more. Your wireless signal is secured with WPA3 encryption.

I’ve only had my google wifi nest system for 2 years and we’re already having trouble. The internet keeps dropping and the coverage is poor!

I’ve had so many WiFi issues in the past with other routers and extenders but this finally solved all my issues about connectivity and range, it’s super fast as well. Father in law suggested we try Google WiFi out and we’ve had no regrets since.
Earline Bergstrom (verified owner) –
Works as advertised. Expanded WiFi reception to all rooms.
Camren Wilkinson (verified owner) –
Works great extending internet to far areas of our home. The technical support were very helpful

There is no comparison between a single wifi spot and a mesh network. You can get more coverage and no deadspots using a mesh system.

I am testing GFW and still have Comcast/Xfinity internet service and while I am not getting 1g mbps or over 400mbs on GFW – it’s still more reliable and seems faster than Comcast/Xfinity. I however am not fond of the fact that I can’t go into the router settings – or at least haven’t figure out how to yet.

Our techie kids couldn’t stand it anymore!! They like to come visit but often have work to do while here. The old router and extender was too unreliable and slow for what they had to do so they surprised us with the Google Wifi system. We now have great reception on our entire 2 acre property, never have a dropped call, and downloads are faster. It was very easy to set up, taking only about 15 minutes. We should have bought this system a long time ago.

I bought the Google WiFi to boost WiFi in my home. While it appears to have worked for my 75 inch flat screen TV in the basement it can’t connect on the top floor bedroom farthest away from the router. It also appears to be interfering with my wireless printing capability, filtering and preventing me from printing from my cell or laptop. I trouble shot for a couple of hours and gave up.

Mesh network will randomly go from “great” to “weak” without changing anything. Consistently have to reset/restart my wifi points. Such a pain to maintain. Looking to change mesh networks soon.

Works fine. Doesn’t go away like other services do.

Lately my wifi has not been consistent or working great. I have tried to trouble shoot with a Google wifi support specialist I’ve the phone and then We had a Google fiber technician come to our house. Neither one solved our problems completely and we still get slow service on our wireless devices even with 1 gigabit Google fiber.

I bought a 3 pack of Google WiFi Pucks after hurricane Harvey destroyed all my network equipment. I never had a single hiccup or issue with it until I was forced to integrate from Google WiFi to Google Home. Now at least twice a week I have errors with our phones being connected to WiFi but not being able to surf. (I suspect the problem lies with transferring from one puck to another within the Mesh Network) Simply turning off the phones wifi and then turning it back on seems to solve the problem but it’s annoying. It’s funny how these same sort of issues would happen with Apple products back in the day. Then when you would upgrade to the latest Apple stuff all those issues would go away. I’m not saying Google is doing the same thing, but……. I bet if I where to upgrade my old Google pucks to the new Google Nest pucks these problems would resolve themselves. Just saying……….. My 5 stars is for the items performance overall since I’ve had them.

The third puck does not connect. Ever since the platform moved to google home it’s been horrible.

I like the ease of setup of the Google Wifi but wish there were more SSIDs capable. This way I can create a separate SSID for other IOT devices, where I can allow directional/firewalled access between such devices. I know there is Main SSID, Family, and Guest but still wish I had the option to allow something separate for IOT devices. I also wish I could control or configure from my desktop but I am only able to use my Smart Phone. I have a few drawbacks but I am an advanced user but for someone that just needs to expand the WiFi within there residence this is a great product and have suggested it to many of my clients.

Mesh router systems are great, but this is among the worst of them.

The radio interference seems to have gotten worse…

I’ve been having issues with my modem/router with dropped connections and wide coverage in my home. So far this system has been working very well with no drops and extended coverage for my entire home. Based on what I see so far this has been a good investment and I would recommend this to friends…

I have 3 google wifi APs in a mesh and I can get 150Mbps on Comcast even if I am close to 50 feet away from the nearest AP. This google wifi mesh works great. It is little bit of a blackbox when it comes to the configuration. If all goes well it is super easy to configure (I used a Samsung phone), not sure if it is equally easy on iPhone. If there is a little bit of an issue during the initial setup, then redoing setup can be confusing as the phone app does not really say much about what it is trying to do. After it is all good to go, then google says it is secure and all that, but in the name of simplicity it is not very clear what the security settings are. Would be great to get an advanced management dashboard to this as well. Bundling this with google home is good in some ways, but it is easy to get lost in the google home app itself. Often need to search and figure out things, the apps themselves are not very intuitive. Good value for money though.

This Google wifi extender works as i would expect it to. No issues so far at all and helps keep everything running smoothly in my house. We do a lot of stuff through wifi so perfect for my family…..

So far so good with the new Google router and WiFi network. Would have loved to have more WiFi points from the beginning as an option when the change over was made from the Google TV service.
