Have a stable, reliable wireless network signal by installing the Google Wifi Mesh System in your home. Comprised of three devices for up to 4500 square feet of coverage, each 802.11ac Wi-Fi point supports a maximum data throughput of 1200 Mb/s over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signal bands. They can be individually configured to perform as a router or as satellites for your mesh network. Each is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor with 512MB of memory to handle up to 100 connected devices simultaneously with beamforming to deliver smooth 4K video streaming, video chats, online gaming experiences, and more throughout your home. Installing the Google Wifi wireless mesh network system is designed to be straightforward and easy. Simply connect the router to your modem, position each satellite throughout your home for optimal coverage, then use the Google Home app to configure the wireless network. The Google Wifi devices also include two Gigabit Ethernet ports—one connects to your modem while the other works as an access point for wired network devices such as computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more. Your wireless signal is secured with WPA3 encryption.

When I switched to wi-fi it tripled my internet speed. I am very happy with it and no problem so far.

We had hoped adding another access point would give us more reliable Internet but it constantly cuts out.

The Google Nest WIFI is exactly what my home needed! The WiFi speed is amazing. The installation was super easy and worked almost immediately. Also, you can manage everything through your smartphone! Technology at its best. Highly recommended!

Everything is working real good. I can get better Wi-Fi now in all rooms.

Do not buy if you have any tall trees around your property unless you want to unplug and plug back in several times a day.

At this point I’ve had my 3 Google WiFi routers for almost three weeks and will update this review as necessary. My house is ~2,600 sqft, and the coverage I’m getting across the space is good. I have a couple issues, though. The biggest problem is how the WiFi performs as I move from room to room. The switching between access points is poor. As I move from my office to the backyard, which is closer to my 2nd WiFi device, I lose service for several seconds, roughly 5-10. The same thing happens when I go from the backyard back to the office. I’ve tested this on both my mobile phone and my laptop. The other issue I’m having is upload speed. It’s only decent if I’m next to the primary WiFi device (the one connected to my modem). Otherwise, upload speed is pretty poor.Still, this is a better option than any single point WiFi router that I’ve used. Can’t compare to other mesh devices

Seems to disconnect quite a bit. Not sure yet if it’s the cable internet or the device

The wifi section inside the Google home app is very slow and very frustrating. Keeps giving error “Sorry something went wrong, please try again”. Doesnt even tell what went wrong. The earlier stand along google wifi app was way better than this one.

I had bought one after a month of researching wifi routers. I wanted something sleek, fast, and minimal. Google read my mind when designing this product! I now own six of these, that’s how much I love them. They’re easy to manage from the Google Home app, the mesh is very effective, I love being able to connect to Ethernet from wherever in the house, and they are relatively inexpensive.

So far we have not had any downtime with Google Fiber. With cable we had periods of downtime every day. Very happy!

Over the last several days when trying to stream Apple TV i have to reset(reboot) several times to watch a 1 hour show on Apple TV. Very disappointed!

No WiFi 6 or the ability to know what band You are using. It is really confusing Google WiFi and Nest WiFi. It is a bad thing that nest seems to be going away and it is better than the Google branded stuff.

It is great, not a dead spot in my house. Easy to set up and to access via my android.

Love my goggle wifi. Fast reliable service with no issues and very easy to use and set up.

Some friends have access points which take up desk space. I can stick the google puck inside of the networking panel in my apt. Reliable. Maybe there was one update where it had to restart that I can remember? Regular self speed tests are cool. It’s a little weird how it seems like you have to have an internet connection to administer it after the initial setup. When my actual ISP was flaky it was hard to figure out what was going on because of this. Port forwarding/DMZ is the only “advanced” thing I use which seems fine. I have a bunch of IoT things on it, so the 2.4gHz support is necessary for many of those. Unfortunately some wireless NICs I have don’t allow me to force 5ghz mode and they will switch to the 2.4 channels which is always terrible (7 story apartment building). I don’t know if it’s possible, but I wish I could force 5ghz on certain devices from the google wifi side since I can’t on the device side. The one wired lan connection is useful; I run a server on this.

Google WiFi Is a great device that allowed for strong steady WiFi distribution through out the entire house. It was quick and easy to set up, it only took about 3 or 4 minutes. You do not have to change any of ur modems or routers, it just takes what’s already there and improves it. However it does require that u download the google home app. The google home app allows u to control the WiFi device and any other smart google products all under the same app and it’s easy to use as well. I should point out that this device will not take slow internet speeds and make them faster, but what it does is essentially untangles the WiFi so that it works better throughout the house. There is no cons to using this product, it’s quick to set up , it’s easy to use, it makes the WiFi efficient and u can put it just about anywhere in the house. I love how it’s sleek design blends in with any decor for a simple/modern feel.
