They can be individually configured to perform as a router or as satellites for your mesh network. Each is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor with 512MB of memory to handle up to 100 connected devices simultaneously with beamforming to deliver smooth 4K video streaming, video chats, online gaming experiences, and more throughout your home. Installing the Google Wifi wireless mesh network system is designed to be straightforward and easy. Simply connect the router to your modem, position each satellite throughout your home for optimal coverage, then use the Google Home app to configure the wireless network. The Google Wifi devices also include two Gigabit Ethernet ports—one connects to your modem while the other works as an access point for wired network devices such as computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more. Your wireless signal is secured with WPA3 encryption.

I was sent this item for free in exchange for a review. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and struggle with my wifi. I have been looking for a boost for it for awhile now and finally have found one. This Google Wifi has helped tremendously, I went from some days not having internet at all to having internet plus it being faster. I would definitely recommend this product. It isn’t expensive, it is also very easy to set up!

We had a horrible time with dropped connection with so many smart devices taxing the router that came with the cable company. The google mesh system is like having a wifi web around your house. No slow downs or drops since installing ( which was super easy)

The internet itself is great but there are no options to have a dedicated 2.4ghz option. I have some older alexa enabled items which cannot use the 5ghz option. So those items are useless until I switch to something else.

Our service dropped multiple times a day once we switched from our standard router to our Google Wifi. We will keep trying different things to see if we can maintain the same performance we had. I wanted it to work smoothly but no such luck. I’ll update my recommendation once we get it fixed although I’m not sure how to fix it at the moment.

I have had Google WiFi for over a year now, in that year I have had to Factory RESET all 9 of my devices countless times for various power outages and things like router updates/upgrades.SO the only fix I came up with while gutting support from Google Support, I had to spend more money for a server grade APC UPC battery backup.

Google WiFi has been very good all these days. If I was asked to give this review a month ago, I would have rated it 5*. Having said that, lately there were some updates or something I don’t know, I have been having internet issues at home. You might say, it is my ISP issue and not Google WiFi but it is not because when I connect to my router directly I am not having any issues. Please solve the problem to earn back 5*. Despite my rating I would still recommend because they will fix it at some point or their will become extinct, with so many mesh devices available.

This was so easy to set up. I had an old router that was on it’s last leg after having it 8 years. I chose Google Wifi since I already use Google Home with my Google minis. The app walked me through the setup step-by-step. Connected to the modem and scanned the QR and the app did all the work. Then for the additional 2 end points just clicked YES to add another, scanned the QR on the next device and done. There’s zero missing coverage in my place and easily supports multiple devices at the same time. No more lag on my multiple chromecasts either. Much easier than the old routers and extenders.

One of my Google Wifi units is useless because it will not reset back to factory defaults. Making it worse is that the procedure on Google’s support documentation for a factory reset takes 10 minutes. This means troubleshooting the issue takes hours because every time I try something different it takes 10 minutes to see if it worked or not.

google wifi was better and more useful with the google wifi application. The regression to move to the home app is a horrible experience, and I would not suggest this product. I’m currently looking for a better solution, but it’s hard to choose with the options that are far superior to this product.

Doing my business from home as well as my two boys gaming all the time, I kept having issues with Wifi connection and speeds. so, I had heard about Google Wifi and decided to try it out. It was easy and pretty quick to setup. I had drop offs and bad WiFi zones all over my house. After, installing the Google WiFi, I get WiFi in every room of my house, even the back porch with faster speeds. I don’t have to fight with Internet connection issues or lagging everyday. You can also use the app to check your connection speeds etc. This has definitely made my work life a lot better and my boys can play their games at the same time without the lagging issues. I definitely recommend it.

I just got this product for my apartment about a week ago, and the results have been night and day. I have around a 1500 square foot apartment and this router blankets practically every inch. Our speeds more than doubled the moment we set it up (which is extremely easy to do), and continue to improve as the router learns the best way to fit our needs. I would love to add another unit to just make it even faster but it really isn’t practical for the space I have. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to boost their connection speeds and make their home a little bit smarter.

Has been going in and out for about a month now. Have talked to ISP and google. Google told me basically to restart the network and they would get back to me after I left them my number because they needed time to monitor the state of the wifi. They have since never contacted me again. Before this we had absolutely no issues and it was perfect and boosted our Internet speeds by a bunch. Would be awesome if google was helpful though.
