They can be individually configured to perform as a router or as satellites for your mesh network. Each is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor with 512MB of memory to handle up to 100 connected devices simultaneously with beamforming to deliver smooth 4K video streaming, video chats, online gaming experiences, and more throughout your home. Installing the Google Wifi wireless mesh network system is designed to be straightforward and easy. Simply connect the router to your modem, position each satellite throughout your home for optimal coverage, then use the Google Home app to configure the wireless network. The Google Wifi devices also include two Gigabit Ethernet ports—one connects to your modem while the other works as an access point for wired network devices such as computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more. Your wireless signal is secured with WPA3 encryption.

Generally speaking, very pleased with the Google Wifi mesh system. The old app was much more user friendly than the new Google Home app but it works ok. It was nice to actually get good tech support working through the issue which I haven’t had from Google in the past.

My provider provides a wifi signal, but it doesn’t reach to all the places that I want to use it. Being able to put a puck in a room is trivially easy, and we get much better coverage. Rather than measure by square feet in the house, I look at the yard that I want to provide coverage, too! The 3-pack is perfect for our small home with a front porch and back patio and side play area!

The upload and download speeds are far better than my experience with competitors. The app is easy to use. Even the router itself is more aesthetic than any other option. The biggest drawback is every time we have lost power getting the wifi back up and running has been a multi-hour process on the phone with the Google team.

Don’t let it’s simple looks betray you. This kit is easy to set up, and is filled with robust features. I love the coverage. I really love the ability to schedule and control device access, which is very helpful with a family of teenagers, whom you occasionally have to force a screen time break upon. One other thing I love is the ability to temporarily prioritize a device. This is particularly useful when the wife has an important remote class to teach, or a Zoom meeting to attend. A clean and simple interface for all of the network controls, the ability to expand it even more, and even a built-in speed test? This is a really good system. So far, I am very satisfied.

I got Google WiFi as a Christmas present. Was eager to install it as my previous WiFi is spotty and the speeds vary depending on the location in my home.Google WiFi has solved this problem. It is fast and coverage on all levels of the house is great.The installation instructions are poor and need refinement. However, the Tech support was great and the Google Tech got me up and running in 30 minutes. So far, the WiFi has been fast and reliable.

The Google WiFi is a decent mesh network wireless device. In my large home I found I had to purchase quite a few to reach everywhere. I wish the range of a single point was larger but once I had enough of the discs I was able to cover my home 100%. I like the product and would recommend it for friends. Simple set up and I like the software to maintain it.

I love the Nest WIFI product. Wifi support was great too, but they handed me off to NEST support to fix an issue. Most of your support teams are good, helpful and friendly. Chromecast group is GREAT! I have had to call NEST support twice in the last year and both encounters were not up to your usual standards. And they are not friendly to boot. This would have been a five star review except for that.
