Have a stable, reliable wireless network signal by installing the Google Wifi Mesh System in your home. Comprised of three devices for up to 4500 square feet of coverage, each 802.11ac Wi-Fi point supports a maximum data throughput of 1200 Mb/s over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signal bands. They can be individually configured to perform as a router or as satellites for your mesh network. Each is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor with 512MB of memory to handle up to 100 connected devices simultaneously with beamforming to deliver smooth 4K video streaming, video chats, online gaming experiences, and more throughout your home. Installing the Google Wifi wireless mesh network system is designed to be straightforward and easy. Simply connect the router to your modem, position each satellite throughout your home for optimal coverage, then use the Google Home app to configure the wireless network. The Google Wifi devices also include two Gigabit Ethernet ports—one connects to your modem while the other works as an access point for wired network devices such as computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more. Your wireless signal is secured with WPA3 encryption.

In a work from home environment, it is extremely helpful to have a strong Wi-Fi. I am constantly on video conference calls, so losing my connection is devastating to my productivity. Since I picked up this device, things have been much better!

Bought this to improve wifi dead spots and it solved the dead spot issues. Speed is fast and I’m very satisfied with this product.

When It’s all working properly it’s great. Which means to me it just works, no need to fool around with endless adjustments. Now, the Home app interactions need some, well, adjustments. You would think a gazillion dollar parent corporation might make a difference in that department. Fortunately the gazillions enable them to pay a very helpful support staff. Thanks for that!

It is one of the best WiFi solution out there. The user interface is very intuitive and easy to follow. I even tried a few WiFi 6 products but they are not as reliable requiring frequent recycling the network. I am waiting for WiFi 6 mesh solution from Google.

Rarely any downtime and easy to troubleshoot any issues in the rare case there are any.

I was presented with one by a new ISP, Hawai’i Telecom. I already had a powerful router but I thought I would try the Google wifi. Sadly the signal did not get through the house nearly as well, so I went back to my big black quad antenna with wifi 6 and 5G.As the hub of a mesh system, the Google wifi would be better, but I only had one, so I review it here as a standalone router, not as a mesh hub.

I added a second one of these to my existing Google WiFi setup and now I have WiFi coverage from the end of the block. Love it and highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice, Google Home/Assistant integrated mesh WiFi system!

I’ve had about 2 or 3 other types of wireless routers and since getting this, I have not had to switch. I like Google Wifi because it allows me to restart it remotely using the Google Home (used to be Google Wifi app) app and to monitor it remotely.

I have 4 of these around my home and have no wifi issues and great speeds inside and outside. This is the first router that I can just setup and forget about.

This is my second one, works as flawless as the first. Love my Google WiFi.

The Google Wifi unit is well packaged, looks good, and very simple to setup. The total time to setup the unit from unpacking to a functional network took all of five minutes. As an IT professional, the last thing I want to do at home is deal with complicated network setup and configuration. Upon plugging in the Wifi puck, open the Google Home App and scan the barcode. The Google Home App will walk you through some privacy options that you can opt out of. Beyond that, you will set your SSID and password. A couple updates later and you are up and running. If you are like me, I kept my network settings the same from a previous router and most devices automatically reconnected. On the home app you have visibility into what is connected on your network and real time stats of each device (as well as family scheduling options). There are plenty of speed test options in the application as well. From the settings in the Google Home App, you will have the ability to set custom DNS, adjust basic LAN settings, change from NAT to Bridge mode, port forwarding, Guest wifi options, UPnP, set WPA3 (WPA2 is setup by default). This covers most of the advanced configuration options the majority of users would ever need. Unfortunately, there isn’t a web based management option. This would be nice to have to configure the advanced options instead of via the app. The unit comes with two ethernet ports. One for the WAN and one for LAN. If you have a lot of devices to connect you will need a switch. Overall, the ease of setup is by far the best experience I have ever had with a home router. The coverage is great with one unit in a single story 1700 sq ft house. The option to expand and add additional pucks in the future is nice to have. This is a great entry level mesh system. As for advanced configuration options, there is a lot to be desired there.

I’ve used my Google Wifi in the mesh configuration for over a year now without any issues. I currently have 127 devices connected at my home and all stay connected with no issues. I can’t wait until Google Fiber is offered in my area, as I will switch my ISP as soon as I can due to the incredible customer service I have received in my past years from Google support.

This is definitely a great investment if you have spotty wifi! I love how easy this baby was to set up. Just go to the app they ask you to install, follow simple directions and boom you’re good to go. Thank you, Google! I’m also a fan of the design they’ve come up with. Internet companies need to take notes. I love how I can manage the router through an app. Because let’s be honest, how many times a day do we not have our phones on us? I think it’s amazing that if I need to turn off wifi on a specific device in the middle of the night, I can do so via the app. The download speeds are much faster than just what my modem can deliver which makes for less frustration. I don’t really see any cons of having this tool other than wishing it was a modem and router built into one that was of the same design. I don’t have an issue with the distance since I live in a 1100 sq ft apartment. My internet was just crappy since I live in a rural area and Google wifi knows how make it much better.
