Have a stable, reliable wireless network signal by installing the Google Wifi Mesh System in your home. Comprised of three devices for up to 4500 square feet of coverage, each 802.11ac Wi-Fi point supports a maximum data throughput of 1200 Mb/s over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signal bands. They can be individually configured to perform as a router or as satellites for your mesh network. Each is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor with 512MB of memory to handle up to 100 connected devices simultaneously with beamforming to deliver smooth 4K video streaming, video chats, online gaming experiences, and more throughout your home. Installing the Google Wifi wireless mesh network system is designed to be straightforward and easy. Simply connect the router to your modem, position each satellite throughout your home for optimal coverage, then use the Google Home app to configure the wireless network. The Google Wifi devices also include two Gigabit Ethernet ports—one connects to your modem while the other works as an access point for wired network devices such as computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more. Your wireless signal is secured with WPA3 encryption.

Nice system. Covered my whole house with 3 points. Much better than the old single router I used to have.
Tomasa Connelly (verified owner) –
The nest has made it easier for whole house wifi access for all devices.
Sincere Becker (verified owner) –
I like but seems to slow speed down from 113 Mbs going into the router from modem down to 75 coming out for some reason….features are nice.

I got this due to my provider’s router not being sufficient (constantly dropped WiFi signal, inconsistent speeds). The WiFi router and mesh system was extremely easy to setup and we have not had a single issue yet. I should note that our family is basic users and don’t need advanced settings or setup options, so this rating is simply based on the easy setup and consistent range/speed for the units. If you look up reviews for other units, you’ll find some that are just as good if not better… but the price difference is usually at least double. Some of the better speeds these units offer are not compatible with many devices you already own either, so the benefits are sometimes minimal depending on what you’re looking at. So for the cost, care, and quality you’re getting, this is an amazing deal. Try to find them on sale if possible. Black Friday deals usually have significant savings, but I have seen them go on sale at other times of the year.

I’m using the Google nest to improve my wifi. I’m pretty sure it’s done nothing to improve my wifi.

Hi,I have a house just under 4K sq. Feet (2 stories and a basement). I thought 4 Google nest would cover the entire place, but found the devices occasionally had weak signal. I have 8 covering the entire house with good signal between devices. Only 1 nest has great signal from the router. No complaints other than that.

Got three of these devices! Software does not work with these older modules, Google is aware of this issue and does nothing to provide fix/patch they just want you to keep buying upgraded devices. Then they have the nerve to ask me to rate these devices!!!!! Here you go!

I have now used Google Wifi in two homes with secondary buildings. I like the simplicity of its set up. I wish it were a true robust mesh network: it could be more truly described as a hub and spoke network (all secondary points have to be within range of the primary point/hub). It would be nice to be able daisy chain the points (ie Point B connects to Hub A and Point C connects to Point B). I had the luxury of available conduits so I was able to run an ethernet all the way from A to C. I have and do highly recommend Google WiFi, when the above limitations don’t apply.

I set this up after replacing my Google On-Hub router. (Benefits marked with , Faults with a -) it’s Easy to set up.- You would think it would recognize the prior set up and offer a “Use Previous settings” option, but No….. Even having to set it up from scratch, I had the entire network (Hub 3 WIFI extensions) set up in … 20 minutes? No issues.- Until it randomly dropped the network. No pattern or other hints… I just randomly stops working, then re-starts again. Outages last for 5 minutes or so, and can be anytime, frequently during the daytime during business hours.- Also, the app says it has a status light. as far as I can tell, it lies.

I received the Google WiFi free to try and give my honest review it is great to have helps with speeding up my WiFi is easy to set up and something that the whole family will like and use it come at a good value and quality is great I would recommend this to try

Going from about 34mb/s to high 80’s is incredible. Only have a 100mb/s service so I wouldn’t expect my wireless to be any better than the 80’s. The extra access points also help those working during the week in the farther reaches of the house.

Have a hub 2 remote satellites in a large house and the WiFi coverage and speed are great – BUT! We recently lost power and the system went back to factory settings. You can NOT get the satellites online using iOS 15.x on an iPhone — Just does not work. I Googled and tried all workarounds that were suggested. Eventually, I used an Android device and had it going in a couple of minutes. The subnet number also changed from .82.xx to .86.xx which messed with my static IPs. Very frustrating!

Terrible product. Compatibility issues with using Apple products. Often loses connection, things are slower than should be. No one can figure out what’s wrong but my house works better when I’m not using a google product

So easy to set up, great coverage, automatic syncing. Take your Old Orbis and throw them in the trash! Love love love.

Put two in. Immediately cut off my Alexa and another smart speaker and I can’t connect to my printer. Wish I had stayed with my old router.

Are local cable company kept increasing the price without so much as a notice. We called Google and they had an installer to her house at 9 the next morning. He was knowledgeable and friendly and make good suggestions. We’ve sent had two other texts come to our home to help with a piece of equipment that was dying. No questions asked switched out and installed a network you know house with a smile and at no extra cost. Google has figured out how to be customer focused and we are delighted.

Provides good coverage around the house. And has a lan port for a more reliable connection.

So far so good with my new google wifi mesh units. Great, consistent speed.

We ended up needing six of these, but the coverage is fantastic in the house and out on the porches.
