Have a stable, reliable wireless network signal by installing the Google Wifi Mesh System in your home. Comprised of three devices for up to 4500 square feet of coverage, each 802.11ac Wi-Fi point supports a maximum data throughput of 1200 Mb/s over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signal bands. They can be individually configured to perform as a router or as satellites for your mesh network. Each is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor with 512MB of memory to handle up to 100 connected devices simultaneously with beamforming to deliver smooth 4K video streaming, video chats, online gaming experiences, and more throughout your home. Installing the Google Wifi wireless mesh network system is designed to be straightforward and easy. Simply connect the router to your modem, position each satellite throughout your home for optimal coverage, then use the Google Home app to configure the wireless network. The Google Wifi devices also include two Gigabit Ethernet ports—one connects to your modem while the other works as an access point for wired network devices such as computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and more. Your wireless signal is secured with WPA3 encryption.

This is a fantastic mesh networked router. It was super easy to install and works really well. The Wifi in the house was hit and miss and now we have consistent well running connections. Great product highly recommend anything Google does.

Works great, has lots of controls/features that are easily accessible in the Google WiFi app….Oops, that app went away…now it’s all buried in the Google Home app….not as convenient.

Google wifi is as advertised. Easy to setup mesh system using google wifi App. Then unexpectedly google decides to consolidate all different apps into google home app. This app is not good as jack of all trade app cannot replace a master of one app. Google also made update to firmware that is causing connections to be dropped. Not sure what testing was done prior to firmware release.

I have 3 points which for me created a problem. When adding smart plugs and lights I couldn’t get the 2.4 band. I believe the info on the Nest system is that it automatically selects the correct band. Doesn’t really work like that. My 3 points were to strong. Had to disconnect 2 points and hide on the floor behind a lazy boy chair to get a weak enough single so the 2.4 band was usable and I could set up smart devices. Going forward I would purchase a system that allows me to pick the band.

I connected this point to my 3 other Google wifi points to better cover each floor. They work seamlessly.

Received my Google Wifi a little while back and I have it a few days to really use it to write a honest review so here it is. It’s honestly a little faster than my main internet provider. Maybe if I had more than one or would be a little more faster. Was a really easy set up though and it’s pretty simple. Would honestly recommend to other people and family members.

I have a 3100 square foot “L” shaped home. There’s a garage in the mid-point, and a casita on the smaller side of the “L”. We have the router as central as we could get it, and we’ve had huge problems keeping stable connection within the home. I purchased an addtional node, hoping that’d be enough, and moved the “Triangle” shape closer together with the extra new node slightly out from the shape. We are still having connectivity issues. I purchased “high-end” CAT-8 wires and ran the router closer to the centre of the “triangle” and after about two hours of running mesh tests, got the nodes close enough to maintain a decent signal, but not in the furthest points of the home. I do not reccomend a three pack for a single level 5500 square foot home. You’re gonna need a bigger box of wifi spots. When they do work, within their limited range, they do fairly well. Not as impressed as I was hoping I’d be, however. My network is FibreOptic and I have 1GB Service.

Great product if you don’t want the google nest with voice assistant. All the support info is about the Nest version.

I’m really satisfied with my Google WiFi mesh network. It’s been incredibly reliable and I’ve expanded it as our needs have evolved. Only compliant is the recent setup process for adding new points in the Google Home app was more tedious than it once was with the Google WiFi app.

This was quite difficult to set up. I was switching out an older wifi router and point for the newer one supporting the improved mesh. So I would have the new router with the two older devices as points. My place is 1220 sq ft over 2 floors so this should have given me blazing coverage. The setup of the new router was a pain. It immediately went to an orange light which the (very meager) instructions tell you means “call us”. The LAST thing I want to do is spend half a day on the phone with support. The old point became the new point fairly easily but the old router was another pain to install. It also had an orange light. An online search revealed how to do a factory reset and eventually I got it connected. As for performance – I also have a wifi 6 router and on the 5 GHz band it gives almost twice the performance at the farthest distance than the farthest Google wifi mesh point even when I’m right beside the point. So yes – I’m quite disappointed with this Google mesh system

Was working fine until the last firmware update. Now they go off line and reset several times a day. Couldn’t work this way. Replaced them Orbi system. Everything working great now. Google has know about the firmware problems for MONTHS but did nothing to fix it.

Excellent just don’t spy on me. No bandwidth drop off no lagging excellent product. Very happy

Excellent product I have 5 of these in 2 houses and they extend my wifi way outside both houses. Also extremely easy to install.

I was looking forward to getting this for months, and it has cut in and out and has been weak in multiple connections. I should be able to stream and look up something on the internet on a different device without a glitch, or slow speeds.

Everything is working fantastic! I would highly recommend.

I really liked the original google WiFi interface. But now google is forcing everyone to convert to the google home platform. I do not like this platform. Much more difficult interface and less features. Quit trying to run my entire life in your home platform. The WiFi interface and especially the nest thermostat interface are a downgrade from previous platforms that were separate.

I had a wireless router with a few additional older wireless access points plugged into the house, but was still only getting around 10MB speed in the furthest locations of the house. The Google wifi units are great because you don’t have to run an ethernet plug to additional points and the speed was night and day difference. I am now getting over 140MB speed in the same areas. Setup on the app was quick and easy too!

So I have had wifi extenders prior to buying the google wifi mesh nodes. I have to say, they are way better than the regular wifi extenders. I live in an old house, and the wifi extenders did not help with any sort of internet downstairs. Once we got the Google Wifi, I don’t have any dead spots in the house and it is so amazing.

I haven’t had any issues with my Google WiFi. My house is about 1900 square feet and it works great in all areas. No complaints. Not sure how it would work in a larger home but for mine I haven’t had any issues. Also it is easy to set up.

I am reviewing the 3-Pack. Very easy set up through the Google Home app! My home has some challenging building materials when it comes to signal strength but Google Wifi’s mesh network has provided ample coverage. The speed I get wirelessly over mesh is as advertised. A nice little addition/attention to detail here is that you are able to turn down the brightness of the indicator light. Great for minimizing light pollution in the home, especially bedrooms. Oh and Google Wifi updates itself so your network always has up to date security patches, fixes and features. Great product!
