Why didn’t I make this purchase sooner???! I love this cooker! I live in Texas where it gets super hot in the summer even with the air conditioning so I needed a solution for cooking. This doesn’t heat up my kitchen and I can have dinner on the table in 20 minutes.

I’ve never owned a pressure cooker before and I was intrigued by one of the health blogs I follow. She uses her pressure cooker for everything and shared lots of recipes so I decided it was time for me to join the club. I was really intimidated by this pressure cooker at first. I’ve always heard stories about people blowing themselves up but the instructions are clear and teach you how to avoid doing that. It’s much bigger than I expected and takes up a ton of counter space. That’s kind of a negative for me because it means it’s not easy to store. It doesn’t fit in my cupboard and I don’t have a good place to store it. It’s bigger and bulkier than my slow cooker. As far as functionality goes, this thing works great! The first thing I made was rice. How hard could it be? I added the rice and the water and pushed the rice button. I was a little confused because the instruction booklet doesn’t give any information about the rice setting. How much water should I use? How much time? So I used a ratio of 2-water to 1-rice and set the timer for 8 minutes. The pressure started to build and the timer started to tick down. After 8 minutes, I released the pressure valve (which is a little scary) and waited about a minute for the pressure to fully go down to zero. The rice turned out exactly like it does from 25 minutes in a rice cooker. The second thing I made was a beef stew that involved searing the meat. I used the saute setting on the meat first and then added the liquid and other ingredients. I only had to cook it for 20 minutes as opposed to 6 hours in a slow cooker. It turned out tender and delicious. This unit has replaced at least 3 of my other kitchen appliances and has become my new go-to method of cooking. I’ve already ordered two cookbooks so I can continue to use it more and more. I only wish the instruction booklet was a bit more helpful for a first-timer.

I cooked a small very lean beef sirloin tip roast to try out this electric pressure cooker. I thought I had read the directions thoroughly. First, to brown the roast press saute. The pot got hot but didn’t stay hot. The indicator read medium. I wanted to adjust it to hot…I couldn’t figure out how. So second, I added a cup of water and put the lid on. Easy to do. Third, I hit the meat preset the time 35 min came up. The timer does not start until the correct temp and pressure is reached. It’s surprisingly quiet. After the 35 minutes, the pot goes off and the pressure starts to go down on it’s own. It took almost 30 minutes for the pressure to go down by itself. I’m not brave enough to help it release pressure…yet. I was expecting a dry roast like this cut usually is unless cooked rare. I was shocked. The meat was well done but moist and tender!!! That made a believer out of me. It will take some time to build my confidence in using this pressure cooker…I’m used to the old-time ones that can blow a hole in the ceiling if not handled correctly. I’m pretty sure this will be one of my favorite go-to appliances.

I have had My Pressure cooker for about a week now and have used it everyday to make my meals, I was a little intimidated at first as I have never used a pressure cooker before and it was a lot of different settings to it But I did it and It was wonderful. I have made so many things in it. I is great when you don’t have all day to cook your dinner you though everything in the pick the time you need and then let it do its thing. My stuff has come out great. I love that it has the settings for different things all in one. It is a nice size as it does not take up a whole lot of room. I have made a soup that had carrots in and set it for 20 min and the carrots were nice and soft like you let it cook all day.

The meat was so flavorful and tender and I loved the convenience of just using the pressure cooker. It came with a recipe book to make things I would never even think of using a pressure cooker on I’m excited to try out some recipes and I’m so thankful to have this wonderful tool to make cooking easier. Also the clean up was quick and easy would highly recommend! I have never owned an electric version it’s so much easier than cooking on the stove.

From cheesecake to beans, to pulled pork, to peach/ginger/raspberry jam, to the perfect rice, steel-cut oats, and any kind of soup from scratch, this is the best. Potato salad with hard cooked eggs is now a regular addition to my menu, and I cook things I never bothered with when I used a range. We don’t need no stinkin’ ranges any more. The insert looks like new, because I never use metal utensils, dishwasher, or even a scrubbie on it, because if anything sticks, I use a paper towel with a little baking soda to scrub it off. Once something burned on, and I got it out by boiling vinegar for a few minutes. Old trick for pots works here, too. The gasket is looking a little grungy from discoloration, but it doesn’t hold the odors the way some people complain about unless I make curry, and a soak in vinegar fixes that. Since I live alone, I do a lot of ‘pot in pot’ cooking, so I almost never wash the pan. lol Think of it: no cooked-on rice or oats to scrape off of the pan, and my rice stays nice and hot in the bowl it’s cooked in until I’m ready to eat. I have hot steel-cut oats with home-made yogurt and fresh fruit every morning. You don’t do that over the stove unless someone else is cleaning up after you. All this uses is the bowl and the spoon. Sweet! Easy-peasy. I don’t remember when I last used my pots, and I only have a fry pan for eggs and stir-fry on a butane stove now. I even use my spare to heat my dishwater so I can turn off my water heater. Whatever did I do before my GoWise pressure cooker changed my life and my diet? Don’t remember, because it wasn’t as good as this.I can’t believe how terrified I was, and now, how relieved. Set it and forget it until those beeps call you to dinner. What’s not to love? I’m buying a 3 qt for my next camping trip, because the smaller one uses only 600W, whereas this 6 qt uses 1,000. I’m planning on using solar panels, and can’t afford all that. If this one ever dies, I’d buy another in a heartbeat, but like I say, it’s been a trooper, and that’s with nearly daily use for three years, often multiple times. Saves me money on my power bills, too. I live in a tiny house on a tiny income, and this helps me out with all that. If you’re on the fence because this isn’t the big name brand that’s always on tv, fuggedaboudit. This is tops in its field. I did the research before I bought, and I have no regrets, and would like to show my appreciation to the company for building such a good product. To tell the truth, I never thought it would last this long. lol But I’m so glad that it has.

I bought this after my 2nd Cuisinart electric pressure cooker bit the dust. I wanted to try an Instant Pot, but this seemed to be very similar for half the price. I’ve used it several times with great results. It’s easy to operate and I really like the stainless steel pot.

I’ve owned a few pressure cookers over the years and this has to be my favorite. It’s is very well designed and now even easier to cook your meals with all the presets already installed. You can brown/sauté your meat/veggies and the set the cooker to the desired heat and time to continue cooking your meal. Comes with a rice spoon and steaming basket and rack which was handy when cooking salmon.

It works well, I can steam vegetables really quickly, but I didn’t find how to bake. I followed the instructions in GoWISE recipe book, but I got E3 and then E2 errors.

Still trying to learn it, but have used the pressure cooker. The cover stays stuck, bringing the inner pan with it when opening it, but it is better than others I have tried. Having to read a book to operate something that should be “User Friendly” is not my forte, but will read, eventually.

I have cooked eggs in my pressure cooker, happy with the result and time. I cooked a stew that normally takes all day to cook in 30 minutes (after it reached pressure). Actual full time was about 45 minutes. Love this and very happy I made the investment.

This was simply a Purchase of this model made by GoWISE to have a backup to the very 1st 8 Qt. model the company released on the market over 4 yrs. ago. The original Pressure cooker still works fine to this day but insuring my wife that she will never be without one in case of a failure is well worth it considering the products performance. At this price point it is well worth the purchase.

I have an older version of this pressure cooker, which I have used several times a week for the past 3 years. I bought this one for the yoghurt making function as well as some updated capabilities.
