I must admit I was very pleased with the quality of this item. Everything is made of heavy plastic and stainless steel. Today I pressure cooked some chicken for frying later. To tell you the truth, I have always been afraid of pressure cookers as twice I have seen them explode in a cloud of scalding steam and the lid hitting the ceiling. I was a bit hesitant to use this as a pressure cooker, but I can now see that my fears were silly as this is as safe as anything else I have used in the kitchen. It cooked quickly and it took 15 minutes to cook 4 big chicken breasts and another 11 minutes to cook 7 legs and 7 wings. What is needed from the manufacturer is better instructions as how long to cook meat per pound and a Q&A sheet to answer common questions. I had to watch a video on YouTube because I was not sure if steam escaping from the cooker was common. I liked this product and cannot wait to try the crock-pot.

I’m a fan of pressure cookers – even more so now. This is the first electric one I’e had and it’s really easy to use. It has presets already for things I make the most (yogurt, rice, and stew) and they work well. This doesn’t occupy a burner for a while when slow cooking things and is much easier to use than a traditional/old school pressure cooker.

Delivered on time as estimated. Packaged very well and worked fine on first attempt. The 8 quart is just what the doctor ordered as previous 6 quart pressure cooker was not quite big enough.

A pressure cooker is a very convenient cooking tool. The product came well packaged and had well written instructions. I did like the recipe booklet that came with it, and am interested in trying a few out. I washed all parts that needed washing, that included the seal ring in the lid. Was easy to take out, but I did have some difficulty in putting it back. Hopefully it’ll not be so hard each time. I found a recipe and was easily able to add all ingredients into the large cooker. I did a corned beef, and was happy that it came out moist and yummy. I was kind of curious as to why I could only set the time at 45, especially when I needed to set it for 1 hour and 20 minutes. I had to let the pressure come down, then add more time to finish cooking it. This is the only complaint I have. Unless the low cooking time is for safety reasons, then it would be fine. Cleaning the machine was also super easy. I can’t wait to try more meals in this pressure cooker.

This 6 quart electric pressure cooker works amazingly fast and is so easy to use. You can make so much different food in it,but I have made steak and potatoes and the steak has been the best I have had in a long time. It was so tender! This cooks many different items and in half the time. Very easy to use, and easy to clean.

Came very well packaged and easy set up. Quick reference sheet, detailed instruction/use book, recipe book included. The pot, steam rack, basket, spoon & cup all great quality. Take your time to read the instructions carefully to reduce your pressure cooker fears and try something simple first like pressure cooking a plain, fresh veggie. The steam/pressure knob seems wobbly & loose but I learned that’s normal. When you turn it to line up the dots for either steam or pressure it will click into place & you must match dots exact (for pressue setting) or a lot of steam will start to escape as pressure builds. If that starys to happen, just tap the knob to make sure it lines up the dots perfectly & the release will stop. The underside of the lid has a thin removable liner via a small center knob so you can get the white gasket on/off the liner for easy washing. The underside of the heavy lid (not immersible) can then be wiped dry & gauges checked for clogs. The pot cleans up easily by hand and I used a SOS pad which removes all lght residue but does leave fine swirls-not a concern as pot will slowly gather utensil marks, etc anyway. The saute function can be cancelled (unlike older models) so you can control how long you saute as well as the temperature. Recipe book contains a number of errors doesn’t include basic charts for cooking different types of rice, vegetables and frozen foods like poultry, meat & fish. Look online for guidance and try those cook times in your pot-adjust as needed. I have slow cooked poultry, steamed veggies, pressure cooked pork & pasta so far and everything has turned out really good. I overcooked a few things, not being familiar with how LITTLE time it takes but now that I’m not scared of the pot blowing up it’s all easier & I have stopped adding time to online recipes thinking food will not be done. I got rid of a big slow cooker, 2 steamers, 2 soup pots and was easily able to make room for my 8 qt pot.You can cook as little or as much as you like in this pot so larger is better if you have the storage space. Love this pot & all it does so far & it has safety built in so there’s no guessing. The pot won’t turn on if youve not locked it properly. Take time to learn the short sequence to make settings because it only allows a 5 sec pause between pressing buttons before it will start. But you can cancel & start over if you make an error so it’s not a huge deal. All becomes easy once you use the pot a few times. Love the speed, convenience, variety of capabilities. Highly recommend this pot!

My husband does that majority of the cooking in our household and has always wanted a pressure cooker so I picked this one! It is really a nice addition to our kitchen and is a major time saver! It is a way to speed up the cooking time on many foods especially rice! Rice typically takes about 30-40 minutes to cook from start to finish however this pressure cooker reduces the time to about 10-15 minutes and the rice comes out just as good as cooking it on the stove top! There are multiple cooking options such as steaming, sauteing, slow cooking, and pressure cooking. The steam option is very handy just throw in two cups of water in the insert, put the tray in, then put the steam basket on top of the tray, seal the lid and set it to steam. Just be sure you switch vent on the top of lid to “steam” and reduce cooking time to avoid overcooking non-starchy veggies. Play around with the cooking times until you find out what works best and this pressure cooker will be an asset to your kitchen! In addition it’s easy to clean the insert comes right out and cleans with ease. Also it takes up just as much storage in your cabinet as a large pot would.

This GoWISE 8 quart pressure cooker is easy to use and versatile. After the first use we knew that this is a high quality cooker. It comes with a removable stainless steel inner pot that should last a lifetime. It includes measuring cup, a rice scoop as well as a handy rack and basket. It has 16 built-in smart programs and 12 cooking options with preset times. You can also set the cooking time manually. We have used it as a pressure cooker, as a steamer and as an excellent slow cooker. We use it daily and leave it out on the counter. We cooked a large pot of dry Great Northern white beans in just 30 minutes (see video). They came out perfectly well done. It makes perfect rice. The pot is large enough to cook for our extended family. It is easy to clean and attractive. It replaced our old crock pot, rice cooker and steamer. We recommend it.
