We looked all over for a popcorn maker and questioned which size would be best. We decided on this one and it is perfect. It was delivered quickly and my husband put it together in about 30 minutes. We have a family of four and use the 8oz pre-packaged popcorn/oil. It may make a little more than what we need but it’s not too much. When we have guests, we just fire it up and make a couple batches. It’s perfect!! Happy with our decision and guests love it. Cart is cute. Machine is big. It wouldn’t fit under cabinets on our bar, so we went with the stand alone with cart. Just adds a touch of fun to our basement entertaining area!

We have been wanting a Popcorn Machine for a long time so we can make movie theater popcorn at home. After extensive research we purchased this machine given it met our needs, was in our price range and had good reviews from various sites. Putting the machine together takes some time (about 1-hour for me), but is not difficult. Making popcorn was simple and we were able to almost exactly replicate our favorite theater-style popcorn. The machine looks very nice and is easier to clean than we thought. We couldn’t be happier with this machine and we highly recommend it!

Picked it up on 10/2, put it together the same day. Tried to make popcorn about 30 minutes ago and the pot isnt heating up?? Ive tried different outlets and pluging the pot durectly into an extension cord. Ive emailed the company and hopefully i can either get a replacement pot or somehow get this one fixed. Bummer, because my son is havibg a sleepover. Popcorn machine is great looking, stand is sturdy. I just wish it would pop popcorn.

Assembly instructions are minimal but its a fairly easy job. I chose this model because it was all glass as opposed to some models with polycarbonate (plastic) doors. Unfortunately, after assembly, I turned it on and “nothing”, not even the warming light lit up. Rather than go thru the whole repackage return hassle, I removed the bottom of the popper and found the main power wire screw connections loose. I tightened them up and everything has worked OK since. I sent an email to the company just to let them know what happed. I didn’t expect any freebies nor did I ask for any but they didn’t even bother to respond. The unit worked well and met my expectations. The only operational issue is getting the popping kettle on and off the brackets . There is a technique involved. Its not difficult but the brackets are very thin and could easily be bent if the user isn’t careful. Time will tell about durability.

So glad to get this Great Northern popcorn machine! Great old fashioned looks and made with heavy duty parts. Best of all the Great Northern popcorn packets pop up perfectly! We love it for use with grandkids and guests. Pops fast using the premeasured package and easy clean up with the “old maids drawer” that catches unpopped kernals. The cabinet storage is handy and handsome. Top quality materials all around. Who can resist the smell of fresh popcorn?!

Good machine overall for the value. It has become the new hang-out in our break room and employees look forward to enjoying some hot popcorn each day! We have had it about a month thus far and look forward to many years of POPCORN! It is very easy to maintain and clean. Assembly took less than 30 minutes. We would definitely recommend it if anyone is looking for a mid-size popper for the workplace, but would recommend a hard surface floor to minimize grease stains – the corn does fly from time to time and people have a tendency to drop a few kernels on the floor.

Had to order two parts. When they came, they were green instead of black like the machine. So the new parts will need to be painted. Bought the popcorn that was recommended and it burned. Might just need to get used to it.

I really can’t rate this as more than average right now as we haven’t used it yet and don’t know if it works. We encountered a problem while assembling. The axle wasn’t long enough to support the wheels and we tried calling the customer service phone #, however reached a message as it was Sunday. My husband decided he didn’t want to wait a week for delivery of the correct axle so we measured, and he went to Home depot and purchased a 21 .5″ axle and new lug nuts to fit the ends. I is now put together and looks great. I hope this was just a fluke and the 19″ axle isn’t being put in each box.

We were thrilled when our popcorn popper arrived! My husband and I put it together pretty quickly. Everything was easy to assemble. We used it the following Sunday on our “Movie & Popcorn day.” It was easy to use and directions were simple to follow. Cleaning was a little more than expected (but I am a clean freak) and wanted to vacuum out everything and make sure it was very clean for next time. It was fun to watch and listen to the popcorn popping and the heat lamp was great so we could go back for more! Our cats were fascinated by the popper. We love it!
