A very good commercial/home use cotton candy machine. Cotton candy wads are full and fluffy, easy clean up (the optional dome is necessary). I recommend this machine, both quality and price are competitive.

Definitely a pro-quality machine, not to be compared to the plastic toy machines. Heats up fast and makes good cotton candy. Mine was missing the extra belt it is supposed to include. Biggest issue is that a scoop of sugar lasts only seconds and flings about half out as granular candy, which sticks on the walls of the tub. Maybe this improves with more use, but it sure seems like it could handle more sugar than 1 scoop, and maybe that would clog up the extrusion holes so that it would all melt and come out as floss instead of rocket out to the tub walls. By the way, the candy from the walls is tasty and kind of fun, but I want better cotton candy yields.

Bought this for my grandchildren. They had a little inexpensive one that did not make much cotton candy. this machine is great. It was worth every penny. Shipping from Home Depot was fast and came before I expected it. This was bought during the holidays and I was worried we would not get it by Christmas Eve for our party. No problems it was here in a few days all the way here to Hawaii.

Good solid construction, simple operation. I have several Gold Medal units and they work great however, they are heavy, big tub and a lot of work to clean.This unit has a smaller drive motor and belt drive. Replacement belts at Harbor Freight cost less than a buck. It’s slower to heat up but good for backyard parties and rental business.

This cotton candy machine is Great. I ordered it for my granddaughters 3rd birthday party instead of renting one each yr and was expecting something smaller for the price but it’s definitely commercial size and works great. My son just YouTubed a video for fast instructions since we didn’t open it before the party and made cotton candy on and off for 4 hrs (whenever the kids wanted it). I would definitely recommend this to any family or friend wanting one.

For years, my son has wanted a cotton candy machine. He’s too old for those cheap plastic models, and, until we discovered this model, the commercial units were too expensive. The Vortex really is a commercial unit. Sturdy stainless steel construction… and very reasonably priced.

I bought this machine as an add on to my business. I needed to be able to make around 60 cones per hr, it did about 30. It did the job but not as quick as I wanted. This is a good machine for the price if you are not in the business of making a ton of cotton candy for sale. If you want to sell it, don’t get this machine. If you want to have for your kids parties or just for general use its excellent and way better than those $50 models that are a joke. I returned this machine b/c the cotton candy flew upward and I prefer a model that blows the cotton candy to the side. Also, the belt on the machine started to fray after one use. They do provide extra belts but to me it was worth upgrading to a $600+ machine as I’m selling this stuff and don’t want to spend too much time making it. Its an average machine, legs need to be more stable as they were bent when they arrrived. I was not confident it would last so back it went. So in summary, if you are only using for general use its ok and works. If selling – get something better. Also, home depot had the best price and you can return in store which saved me shipping costs vs Amazon. Its why i bought from HD instead. Cleaning it wasn’t too bad although it was a pain to clean the main area where the cotton candy went and it melted onto the machine. Get a hot washcloth and heat the machine up to melt it again and scrub it off. I also did worry about the amount of sugar it spit off to the side. To be honest though my new machine seems to use a lot of sugar too but doesnt seem to waste as much. The sugar is so cheap it doesnt matter that much so I wouldn’t let that influence you that much.

I received my npc cc machine yesterday in the mail. (5 days earlier then I was told) I set it up and used it. It works great but very fast. As soon as you put the sugar in it begins emitting cc so have the scoop in one hand and cone in the other. (This does not come with cones) Your cone will be done being spun in 30 secs or less. Unfortuntely it began to rain so I had to pack every thing up rather abruptly. I plan on making more cc today! Thanks Home Depot for providing me with this great machine!!!
