Bought this machine to use in a weekend vendor booth at local fesitvals. The vortex is fairly light weight, so it’s easy to transport. It takes about 5 minutes to heat up, then works like a champ. It puts out 2 to 3 cones per minute. My only complaint is that quite a bit of the floss ends up sticking to the walls of the machine. So, it’s not super efficient in that regard, but this is my first cotton candy machine. Maybe that’s normal. At any rate, so far we are very happy with this product.

I bought this machine so our school would not have to rent one year after year. The out put is good and it is very easy to clean! The cotton candy spins out the center of the machine, which is different than the more expensive machines. I also purchased the “bubble” that goes over the drum (from another site, Home Depot did not carry it) which is a must so that the cotton candy doesn’t fly everywhere. Great machine, easy to use and clean!
