The 24-Volt lithium-ion battery (sold separately) provides 20% more power and 35% more run-time, and delivers fade-free power with no memory loss after charging. The outdoor power equipment allows you to tackle up to 1/4 acre with the available 1.5 Ah, 2 Ah, and 4 Ah batteries. USB ports are integrated into the BAG711, BAG708, and BAG709 batteries, making it a portable charger for phones, tablets, and other compatible electronic accessories. The saw is lightweight and has a very comfortable grip which is great for someone like me who isn’t used to using heavy duty tools. The built in LED light and cordless battery allow me to be very precise in my cuts and the added safety feature of the blade stopping when I release the trigger makes me feel even more confident using this tool. Even though this saw is cordless, it doesn’t skimp on power. I am able to get my work done with ease. I was a bit skeptical about the 24v power from this saw. However, It has performed exceptionally well through various types of woods. I had some osage orange wood lying around which is known to be a stronger hardwood so I decided to test it with the saw. Surprised because of this brand but not surprised after cutting various types of wood — it went through the osage orange with ease. The build quality is solid and should last for years. I’m impressed with this saw and would recommend it to friends and family.

The first thing I noticed about this was how light it is compared to my corded skill-saw. Lightweight is a good thing with some of my bigger projects. However I’m super annoyed that this saw uses a proprietary battery. I got it thinking I could use my two other brand’s batteries but none of them fit. If I invest in yet another battery, that’s three tool platforms that I have to deal with. It’s a pain to remember charging two batteries at the end of the day. Having to buy a battery means the value of the price point is not as great on the surface.

GreenworksTools – 24V BRUSHLESS 7-1/4″ CIRCULAR SAW (TOOL ONLY) is a ok saw. It works how it should. I used it to cut some wood that I needed for a project over the past few weekends. It’s not vary cost efficient if don’t already have this brand since you have to buy battery/charger separate. So keep that in mind.

I have used this a few times and every time it did not disappoint. The saw without the battery is rather heavy and when you add in the battery it weighs a little more. However when you have it set up to use it moves so smoothly and easily across the wood. The saw blade is very sharp but the guard makes it super safe and manageable. The way the saw is set up it makes it very easy to pop the battery in and out of, which is nice if you use it a lot. I do make sure to clean it up after each use and think that will help the longevity of the product. Clean up is super easy even my younger kiddo could do it. I would recommend this saw for a newbie like me but think you need something a little more powerful for those long harder jobs.

This 24v brushless circular saw comes with a full size blade and the saw has a lock for easy replacement of the blade.This one doesn’t come with the chargeable battery but that’s fine! I have two other Greenworks yard tools that have the same size battery and it’s interchangeable with all three of my collection now.Compared to my other corded saw that was heavy to hold, this I’ve noticed right away is lighter. I’m very happy to not having a cord attached to a power tool or yard tool anymore limiting where I can use them. Even though the saw is running on a battery, it’s still just as powerful getting my cuts done on my projects I’m always working on. Always good to have an extra battery on hand for really big projects or a battery charger .

This circular saw is a well built tool. I own an 18v cordless circular saw and this just out-performs it. It’s bigger and more powerful. The only negative and this applies to all brands is the batteries for all of these tools are the expensive. These batteries are actually cheaper than most of the competition and you can get them at a fair price directly from the manufacturers website. I hope this tool lasts because that added power has made it so I won’t touch the 18v tool again.
