Built to the scale and level of quality professional woodworkers and metalworkers demand, this heavy-duty sander features a 6 in. x 48 in. sanding belt that operates horizontally, vertically or at any angle in between. Both tables tilt for any job. The convenient, quick-release lever makes belt changes and tension adjustment a snap. Belt rollers have shielded ball bearings and the top roller has a fine-tuning knob for precision tracking. We recommend Model G1183 for metal. The sander is not built very well. One of the tables would not attach without hitting the belt. The belt cover is warped and difficult to get on. Performance is very good
