When threads get painted in by accident, this rethreading die, make’s it extremely easy to to cut the paint out of the threads, since it is hexagon and a 17 millimeter wrench or socket fits on it very nicely. Now I don’t get annoyed any more when threads are painted in. In the past it was a 1-2 hour process, now it is about 5 minutes. Very glad I bought it.
