These H.K. Porter 25 in. fiberglass handle shear cut cable cutters are designed for cutting a verities of different styles of cable. The lightweight fiberglass handles help to reduce arm and hand fatigue when performing Nemours elevated cuts. The shear cutting blades are designed to cut coarse-or fine-strand cable with minimal strand distortion.
- Lightweight, rugged cutter
- Drop-forged, alloy tool steel jaws with shear-cut blades
- Cuts copper or aluminum, power and communications cable
- Fiberglass handles for 2-handed control
- Never use any H.K. Porter cutters on energized circuits, wire or cable
- Cuts copper power cable up to 500 MCM
- Cuts aluminum power cable up to 750 MCM
- Cuts communication cable up to 135 mm

we use all HK porter ratcheting cutters at work so i gave these a shot, they cut 4/0 copper and 336 alum very easily, i think the slightly longer handles over say a compact 17” pair definitely help
