This indexing rebar bender bends #6 bar (3/4″) and may bend smaller as well. The indexing head makes it easy to find the best angle to pull from, taking advantage of leverage. Obviously its not easy or fun to bend rebar, especially as it gets thicker, but for a single project or occasional use it helps. You’ll be surprised at the quality of the steel in the bender.

I’ve been wanting to use rebar in the garden with something other than just the straight bars. You do need to have some kind of jig to support the rebar when bending, but you can build one without too much effort or cost. In the mid 70s we found a glass bowl with a rounded bottom; it looks like some kind of glass insulator, but it’s very large (18″ diameter). I’ve played around with various uses and finally decided to make a birdbath. I was never able to find a good stand for it and decided to bend some rebar to make the stand. I’m thrilled with the result.

I’ve become a fan of these ‘indexing head’ tools. I had a rebar bender with a stationary head, but these tools that can adjust (index) are really handy. My only concern was the strength of the head, but it seems plenty strong. HK Porter couples this handy bender with a super strong bar handle that has a nice grip on the end. This tool is heavy duty and a handy – easy to use – 3/4 inch rebar bender.

I am certainly not known for my rebar bending skills so I happily gifted my husband with this ¾ “ indexing rebar bender. He was very impressed with looks of it . It is very well made, has a good balance/feel to it and has an adjustable head. He had never used a rebar bender with an adjustable head before so was a little skeptical about its strength. He tested it out and it worked like a champ. The advertisement says it has 14 positions which makes it ultra handy. My husband gave it five stars.

I have gotten to try this only with 3/8″ re bar so far. This awesome tool works great. I had some doubts at first but fact you have all the leverage need and if it isn’t enough you can put a bar in the handle for even more. All while being able to index or flip around the bending head fit your work area is nice. The bender is fully welded for strength.
