The feature of the cord hiding is fantastic! No more wrapping it up only to have it come loose and dangle..grrr. It slides and glides over silk, which ‘ tested on silk fabric from Japan. This iron is a keeper. Admittedly it is a bit heavier than some of the “bargain” irons in big box stores, but it irons like a dream! No going back and forth repeatedly over the same areas on an article of clothing. Very pleased the steams function. The soleplate has a premium nonstick finish. The self-cleaning feature is also great. Easy to use, and works like a charm. It’s a keeper!

I received this as a promotional gift from Hamilton Beach and havent used it as much as I would like to. It is very sleek and modern and pretty (yes, that’s important to me). I have used the steamer to steam some very wrinkly curtains and it was fine. I steamed them while still hanging up and the weight straightened them out. The price point is good for an iron that steams also. In short, I’m happy with my iron.

This is a great iron! There are so many to choose from, but I’m so happy with this choice. The Hamilton Beach Durathon Digital iron worked very nicely. It wasn’t too heavy and got the wrinkles out quickly using the steam function. I love the push button cord storage. It also has a nice raised base that keeps the heated iron off the board when it is sitting on base. Definitely a nice iron.

Nice looking iron. Lightweight but large so it has good coverage. I like all the features. You can see the water you have added. You can turn the steam on and off and choose how much steam. You can spray water which I really like. My favorite feature is the retractable cord but make sure you retract it in small spurts or it could be quite dangerous with the cord whipping around. I ironed a few of my synthetic tops that I left in the dryer too long on the setting for synthetics and was disappointed in the outcome. Didn’t really iron out the wrinkles.

I’m someone who irons a LOT. For the past 20 years, I’ve used a small-ish iron, thinking a larger-sized iron would be tiring. Not so! The full-sized Hamilton Beach Durathon feels as light as my small iron, but heats up FAST, produces excellent steam, and seriously helps me whisk through my ironing. I’ve never been so pleased with an iron. I’ve been using my new Durathon consistently for about 4 months, a couple of times a week. It’s great, and the retractable cord works sharply. Snick–and the cord is stored. The heat control is very easy to use, and I like how it lets me know when the iron is heated to the selected temp. Many appreciated features on the Durathon Digital Iron.

Without a doubt, this is the best iron I’ve ever owned. Very well built. Puts out lots of steam. Nonstick service is excellent. Retractable cord works great. Heats up very fast. Controls are easy to use. Has a nice self clean button. Water tank has a lid that snaps tight so you won’t have any leaks.

The iron itself works very well and definitely does it job. I have not used all of the settings, mainly the cotton, linen and synthetic, but without any issues. Pros: Looks nice, irons very well, light up digital control panel is easy to read and change settings, nonstick soleplate helps iron to smoothly move across clothes, retractable cord is a very nice feature, easy to read water level, makes a lot of steam when needed. Cons: It is a very heavy iron, but a huge con for me- filling the water is an absolute pain. I would think there has to be an easier way to fill the water. I have never had a iron that was so difficult to fill with water. The way it is designed, the lid does not open near enough to expose the hole to pour the water into very well and I had to get very creative (and had to even buy a small funnel) in order to fill it with water. That is a definite, and only, real flaw with this iron. Otherwise, I am very happy with how it works.

I received this Hamilton Beach Iron to try and then review. It is really nice looking,t when I took it out of the box I noticed how heavy it was. I wasn’t too happy about that. It must be because of the retractable cord which really is a plus when ironing. Once I tried the iron I fell in love with it. It glides so smoothly and after awhile I didn’t notice the weight. I absolutely love the steam feature-it made the clothes look they were professionally cleaned. No wrinkles! The opening to add the water is small and a small funnel would have been to to include. The iron does have a self cleaning feature, but I haven’t had to use it yet.Overall, I am very happy with this beautiful, sleek looking iron. It heats fast and really works well!

This Hamilton beach iron is a very convenient and easy to use with its retractable cord, button based temperature control and self clean feature. The sole plate is very different and glides easily on the on the clothes. I have used it for weeks and don’t see any scratches, even minor ones, on it. It heats up quickly and the screen blinks to show that the optimal temperature has not been reached yet and stays solid when the iron is hot enough.It heats up quickly and releases a decent amount of steam. Ironing clothes with this iron is definitely easier than my current steam iron.The user manual could use some updates though as it doesn’t show how to use the self clean feature. The info is available online, but one shouldn’t have to check online when there is a user manual in the box.

This iron heats up extremely quick and, at 1700W, gets very hot. It produces mega steam and of course the soleplate easily wipes clean with a damp towel or sponge. The self-cleaning button actually works (as compared to other irons I’ve owned) and I love the retractable cord (I hate when I am visiting home and have to wait for the iron to cool down and then have to wrap the cord around my mother’s old iron). Heft is good and glides extremely well.

The Hamilton Beach Durathon Iron works better than great. My old iron was about 30 years old and made my clothes look worse than when I started. The retractable cord is genius – it can now be stored anyway I desire without the cord knocking it over. It heats up fast, it’s easy to use and does have an auto shutoff. Settings are displayed on the digital screen – in 5 settings. The steam works awesome and is easy enough to fill. It has a good weight to it and really presses down where I need it

This is by far the best iron I’ve owned! So high quality. Love that it is digital, it makes it so easy to choose the temperature level. It heats quickly and irons all of my clothes so quickly and easily. The steaming function works great and it is so easy to use! One of my favorite features is the retractable cord. I hate To hassle with wrapping a long cord around an iron, so being able to wind with the a push of a button is awesome! If you’re looking for a new iron, I’d highly recommend this one!
