After reading the reviews I had high expectations for this toaster. I have to admit I am not completely satisfied. I read the owner’s manual, set the darkness for medium and put a slice of basic white bread in the toaster-it came out burnt, inedible.I have turned the setting lighter, but the toast comes out with streaks in it where it’s not brown.Also one side of the bread is much darker than the other. If one side is golden brown, the other side is still white, just dried out.Considering toasters seem to last 1-2 years with daily use, it won’t be long before I’m shopping for another one.

Excellent toaster. Love the bagel setting and defrost. Lets you control level of done-ness, too. Has hide-away area for electric cord underneath so your counter isn’t cluttered. Good value.
