The timer is wonderful and love the different temperature settings, but my favorite feature of all is the fact that you can use it to sear your meat before slow cooking. I was very pleased with this product. The ability to sear meats in the insert is a real convenience. The light weight insert was a welcome relief from the need to handle the normally heavy Crock inserts. The insert is easy to clean due to it’s non-stick surface and eliminates the normal soaking a scrubbing necessary to clean a Crock insert.

Received the Hamilton Beach 6 Quart Stovetop Sear and Cook Slow cooker as a gift and it is terrific! I just put the crockpot on the stove burner and browned my meat and then placed it in the slow cooker base and set the timer.All done. The only feature that I miss is that my model didn’t have a locking lid.

What a great product, no more heavy slow cooker. The insert pot is so light-weight and a easy carry. Being able to sear the meat on the range top was so different and easy to do. The clean-up of the insert was quick and easy, so scrubbing or soaking; even a damp cloth cleans it! I just love this slow cooker.

This crockpot had a unique feature where you can take the insert it then place it on your stove top to sear your meat! This is an awesome feature, the easy to clean pan insert is awesome no more scrubbing. It’s light weight, feels cheap made compared to my 20 year old crockpot that still works great also.

This new slow cooker has so many improvements over my older HB slow cooker! The old insert pan was so heavy. This aluminum pan is much lighter and can be used on the stove top to brown meat-BIG improvement. It’s even oven safe! And the touch pad for time and temp. is so much easier to use than the old one. One complaint to H.B. – the cord is too short (in fact, I think it’s shorter than my old slow cooker). Please make the cord longer.

Received this slow cooker about a week ago and have used it several times since. One of the great features is one can sear your meat and then go right into slow cooking! The lightweight metal cooking pot can be used for searing/browning unlike the old glass pots!We have also used it for slow cooking of sauces! No more having to have to go and stir the product every few minutes on the top of the stove! Along with a slow cooker bag, this new product makes for easy clean up (dishwasher safe) and is much lighter than the old bulky slow cookers! Easy to read dials with a built-in timer for accurate cooking times. I would highly recommend this product for the advanced as well as the first timer “slow cooker”
