Enjoyed a wonderful mean in the Hamilton Beach Durathon Ceramic Skillet. Browned hot Italian sausage, added garlic, cubed eggplant until lightly browned, then turned down heat and added mushrooms and a can of tomato bits, some Italian spice blend and let it simmer until eggplant was tender. I always add a little red wine while it’s cooking. When done I served it over spaghetti, topped with shavings of Parmesan cheese. It was very convenient being able to adjust the temperature. When we are RVing it’s much easier to use this skillet rather than the cooktop and running out of propane. Highly recommend this skillet and cleanup was so easy too.

This Hamilton Beach Deep Dish Electric Skillet has more uses than I could have originally imagined. With its adjustable temperature range, it can be used for sautéing, stewing, frying, and everything in between. Then take out the removable inner pan and take it to the table or take it on the road. After enjoying the delicious food from its stick-free surface, drop the pan and the lid in the dishwasher for the simplest clean up. I have converted so many recipes from stove top cooking to this versatile deep skillet cooker and everything has turned out to be as good or better. I believe that’s attributable to better temperature control with the plug-in controller. New ideas for new recipes are always popping into my head.

We have had several electric skillets in the past but this one is my favorite! I love that the skillet can be removed from the base and be set right on the table. It has it’s own legs outside of the base so no hot pad is needed. It cooks fast and evenly and is absolutely non-stick, even with melted cheese. The pan and lid are dishwasher safe. I have already used it many times in the week that we have had it!

I love to entertain and never seem to have the right serving dish. This solved everything. I can cook in it, keep everything warm and then serve what I’ve cooked in the same very elegant pan. The ceramic skillet keeps food from sticking,the detachable plug makes everything water safe for clean up and being able to serve the food in the same skillet that it was cooked in and keep the lid on it so that the food stayed warm proved that Hamilton Beach knows how to create appliances cooks will love. I was so happy to receive this Deep -Dish Electric Skillet.Finally,an electric skillet that I can make my entire breakfast in.This skillet is deeper than the average skillet.I love the fact that it is rectangular. Clean up is way above average! I’ve made 4 meals in this unit,so far.The entire unit(w/o plug} can be put in the dishwasher.The food does not stick the skillet.I made Lasagna and it was perfect! Great for breakfast as I only need one skillet to make everything! This could replace stove top cooking! Love this Deep Dish Electric Skillet!!

I received this while on vacation, it is made very well. I made porkchops and cheesey potatatoes casserole in it. They turned out as well as they would have in a regular oven! The surface did not stick at all, I wiped out the pan with a paper towel and it looked like it had already been washed! This heats very evenly throughout the surface of the pan with no “hot spots”. I will definitely use this over and over again. I also used it to cook a pancake breakfast with eggs and sausage and again was very impressed. I can’t wait to try more recipes in this. Another great product of Hamilton Beach!!!

Would have been 5 except for the redundant and, useless stand. The size is great – cuts my time by 30-50%. It heats more evenly than my previous one. I find that it’s more versatileI can’t figure out what the deal is with the removable stand? The skillet still has the electrical modality. The only difference is it’s a bit higher with the stand. In my estimation this is a waste. I actually chose this product based on the removable stand; thinking it would make a better presentation at the table. Wrong!!!
