Tea, Hot chocolate, Instant soup: If you have a taste for it, the Hamilton Beach 1.7 Liter Glass Kettle can have it ready in minutes, incorporating the best of Good Thinking. With 1500 watts, this electric kettle can boil water faster than a microwave, and is safer to use than a stovetop kettle because it automatically turns off when the water reaches a boil. The modern soft blue illumination in the glass kettle along with a brushed copper stainless steel base looks great on the kitchen counter. Serving at the table is no problem as the kettle lifts right off the 360-degree rotating base without the cord. The powerful rapid-boil system provides fast heating from any standard outlet and the auto shut-off function helps keep the kettle from boiling dry. The kettle also features a stay-cool handle, push-button lid and easy-pour spout that make filling and serving easy.

Happy to have received as a sample to try. Works and looks great. Heats water very fast and the lighting is just right. Looks modern without being over the top. My only wish is that the lid stayed open to fill. Large opening for easy cleaning and pour spout does not splash everywhere when pouring. Light to handle depending on amount of water in pot. East to hold to pour. Cannot attest to durability as I just recieved, but looks like it is well made. Very pleased with kettle.

I love my new electric kettle. First, it came very well packaged for shipping. I like that the cord can be wrapped underneath the base, it looks sharp on my kitchen counter. The kettle heats the water up quickly and I like the automatic shut off. The mesh pour spout helps with minimizing the splashing of the hot water. It holds a good amount of water at one time, so it is great when I have friends over for tea.The only thing that I wish was different is the hazard label that is on the front next to the max and min water lines. It is such a sleek good looking appliance and this detracts from it. I think it would be better near the on/off lever. It could still be seen as a safety reminder.

Heats up quickly. The color is beautiful and looks fancy to use with guests. Easy to use. The only non positive thing I would add is that the on off switch sticks out a bit further than I would like.

We are frequent tea and coffee drinkers and am so happy with the convenience of this kettle. We have people at our house weekly and it’s nice to have quick hot water ready for hot drinks. It is also very beautiful just sitting on the counter and when it is being used with it lit up. It heats pretty quickly. Love this kettle!

This kettle is lighter than most and is a great size. It heats up super-fast. The lighted kettle is good during the day and night. The demarcations on the side are large and easy to read. The cord free feature is a plus when you are pouring. I only have 2 drawbacks to this kettle and they are as follows: 1. On/off button is flimsy. 2. The built-in mesh filter is a great idea, especially for those who have hard water, but on the kettle I received the mesh did not cover the whole pour spout so therefore water came through unfiltered. I have really enjoyed this kettle and use it daily more than once. I will recommend this to family and friends.

This kettle graces my kitchen counter like the work of art it is. It is made of rose gold beach glass with copper accents. Its fluid lines manage to minimize its fairly large size. It takes about 2 minutes for this kettle to reach full boil, even when only 1/3 full, so I docked it one star. I end up not waiting and my tea water is still perfectly hot.

Received this glass copper kettle about 2 weeks ago. It is really a fast heater. When heat is maximum the unit shuts itself off and the power light shuts off. The light citcles the entire kettle, not just the typical pilot. So far it is very easy to clean. One other plus is that the kettle receives its heat thruogh a powered base which sits on rour counter and allows you to use the kettle without the power cord. All in all a very nice stylish appliance. Even freed up one burner on the kitchen range. I recommend this very highly.

This has been a godsend the past few weeks, as I have been ill. Heating water in this versus in a pot on the stove, no comparison. This is faster and easier and more convenient. Love it.

I put equal amounts of water in this kettle and my stove top kettle. I was sitting relaxing with my cup of tea made with the boiling water from the electric kettle.. And the stove top kettle was still heating up.

This tea kettle is an eye catcher right out of the box. It is a Copper and glass beauty. You will want it to sit on your counter all the time. Then when you plug it in and it lights up. Oh my goodness! It has an auto shutoff and it Is cordless for easy pouring with a nice spout. No more kettles being left on the stove. This is a wonderful gift for the tea lover in your life.

I really enjoyed using this product. It’s convenient and saves energy when I don’t have to boil on top of the stove. It’s safer than boiling in a microwave. I just wish the electrical cord was a little longer.

I received & reviewed a plastic electric teakettle from Hamilton Beach about a year ago & liked it very much. It was actually faster than a microwave or stovetop kettle, and easy to maintain. Just a swish with some white vinegar to remove mineral deposits every few days, and a hot soapy cloth to clean the exterior. Easy & convenient. But you know – plastic. So when the opportunity came to try the glass & copper kettle, I leaped for it & am very glad I did. Not only is this model more attractive and a wee bit heavier [in a nice way], but it’s glass so it’s healthier to use all the way around. In every day a great step-up from my current teakettle. Fun fact: at nighttime, turn out the lights in your kitchen after switching it on & you can watch the water bubble & heat through the glass [there’s a ring of lights around the bottom of the kettle]. You won’t be able to see this in the daytime because of the exterior copper “film” but it’s very clear at night [with lights off]. Highly recommend this product.
