We used the previous version of this model for 10 years before it stopped working. It was used almost daily during that time. When it finally failed, I immediately searched for the same model. We’ve only had this new one for about a month, but it works the same as its predecessor, and we have high hopes for it. We used the previous one only to brew coffee–never set the clock, used the brewing timer, or any other features, so I can’t comment on them. It makes a great pot of coffee, and it’s simple to use. It has an effective drip-stop feature that allows brief removal of the carafe while coffee is still dripping into it–great for those of us who can’t wait for that first cup. The only weak point is that the carafe lid pivots on two tiny plastic pins, which ultimately break off, even if one is very careful. This results in a loose lid that loves to fall off while coffee is being poured.
