Keep it simple. Water is actually hot enough to BREW A CUP OF COFFEE. No bells or frills. You actually have to turn it off but if you want a great cup of coffee, a shower head drip, and a long enough brewing cycle to actually produce a great, rich cup of coffee, this is what you are looking for. Large, easy to fill water tank with a clear side to see how much you’ve put in too! Sorry, just so excited. Spent many $s on so called coffee makers of all sorts but this little basic machine out does them all. If you want your coffee to sit in a machine overnight and get stale, hope you set the timer right and pray that you got enough coffee in that filter to only find that the brewing water never really reaches a temperature that successfully brews it, well don’t get this machine.

Not fancy. Reliable drip coffee maker that makes good coffee, even in small amounts The hot plate gets pretty hot. Don’t keep it on too long or you will burn the brew.

I am very happy with this coffeemaker. My last one was programmable, which I didn’t need. It broke in 5 days. I don’t think electronics are near moisture is a good idea. First, it put itself in the 5 cup option and overflowed coffee everywhere. Then it kept shuting off after 2 cups.Then it exploded from the bottom! I couldn’t find one with a simple on/off switch so ordered this coffeemaker online. The cone filter uses a little fewer coffee grounds than the basket type…level scoops instead of heaping. I love the black color because it doesn’t get stained. It’s made from that nice, shiny plastic that easily wipes clean. It’s fast, simple and perfect!
