Well-designed with the quality and features one would expect from a Hamilton Beach product. Brews a good cup of coffee in a reasonable time. I like the reservoir gauge feature so I don’t overfill it by mistake. It’s a bit noisy and one has to be firm in closing the hatch over the pod and it takes up a bit more room on my tiny kitchenette counter than I expected, but I am happy with it and expect to get good service from this unit.

The Hamilton Beach FlexBrew Single-Serve Coffee Maker is an outstanding product. I have only had it for about 10 days and could not be happier with the product. I love the flexibility of being able to use K-cups or my own ground coffee. I tend to like the K-cups for the occasional “special” flavors available but would rather use my own grounds most of the time – and I don’t have to worry about running out of one or the other when I REALLY need a cup of coffee.The basket for using my own grounds is easy to use and clean. Best of all is that the cup holder platform is a handy storage compartment for either the grounds basket or the K-cup adapter – no misplacing in a drawer or cluttering the counter. And when I want to make a tall travel mug, the whole cup platform/storage container just slips out. Excellent design.The product seems to be well made and, if it is anything like the other Hamilton Beach products I own, should last a long time without any problems. I have already recommended the Flex Brew coffee maker to several friends. Try it – you’ll be very pleased.

I love that I can make one cup of coffee without having to guess on the coffee or the water in a regular coffee pot. I would. Always make to much and I would refrigerate the remaining coffee to use later,but would never do that.

love this machine. very easy to work. I love that you can make a cup to a thermal mug to a tall mug without any adapters. You don’t need to pod special pods either-they give you an adapter to make your own pod with your own coffee. I made hot coffee to ice tea to using the pod filled with my coffee. All worked great with no hassles. I will be enjoying my cup of coffee more now since I don’t have to make a full pot anymore and drink day old coffee the next day

It is extremely easy to use and can make from 10 to 14 ounces of coffee depending on the use of a single serve coffee pack or the fabulous coffee basket you can fill with ground coffee. This is an excellent little coffeemaker. And, despite some reviews, my coffee was hot each and every time. Simple, clean and quick to use although the basket that you use for your own coffee was a bit hard to clean. If you use the pods, it’s the easiest thing in the world. I was wishing they had little tiny paper filters to use with the basket, but this is a great coffeemaker anyway.I don’t measure the water in ounces. I simply take my cup, fill it up with the amt of water that I want for the coffee and I get a perfect cup of coffee each time. I hesitated with a ‘Kureig-type’ coffee maker because my son has one and when he made me a cup of coffee, it was only half a cup. This coffeemaker takes little to leave in the pod or basket, so make sure you don’t go past the max or it will overflow. I got a full, hot, tasty cup of coffee out of this little baby. I was a ‘French-press’ snob to show you how fussy I was about my coffee, but I love this little machine.If you use a flavored coffee, run a clear water batch through the machine before you make another cup coffee. It keeps it clean and the flavor pure.It’s small and will fit into tight spaces. Doesn’t take up much room on my counter either.I would recommend this coffeemaker to anyone who likes hot, fast and tasty coffee.

this coffee maker was delivered today, I took it out of the box, took all the pieces out and rolled them around like a monkey with a coconut, finally I decided to read the instructions, many times , I got up the nerve to make a travel mug of coffee, wow the coffee was perfect not to strong just right . I used 2 TB spoons to around 10 oz of water, now if I can read the instructions and make a good cup of coffee you all can to. oh yeah the coffee was nice and hot

Reviewed this for Hamilton Beach, I use my own ground coffee, not a kcup. I was very unhappy with the slight residue in the bottom of my coffee cup. I tried to use different size filters, they just did not work, also the water level: I filled my coffee cup I use and when it was done I only had 1/2 cup of coffee. It would work great with a kcup, but not ground coffee.

I found this coffee maker very easy to use. I used it with both k-cups and with ground coffee. I am not a fan of k-cups, they are too strong and bitter, and preferred the ground coffee option. Either way, the coffee was soon ready, and happily very warm, which I love. It would be nice to have a reservoir, to avoid having to refill for every cup.

The FlexBrew® Single-Serve Coffee Maker is just perfect for our needs. We can make a regular sized cup of coffee or tea by using a single serve pack or pod or by using the filter basket that comes with the machine. We can also make a larger cup and fill up a travel mug in just as much time as it takes to make a small cup!This is a terrific and versatile coffee maker that doesn’t take up much room on our already limited counter. I really like that I didn’t have to purchase a separate filter basket, it was included. This made my brewing options so much less limited. I’m not stuck using only single serve packs or pods. The filter basket is a really fine mesh so no other filter has been needed (unless you use a finely ground coffee, then add a paper filter) and we haven’t found any grounds or mud at the bottom of our cups.

I’ve been through a few single-brew (“K-cup” or pod) coffee makers by now, and this is best and the most versatile so far. I wished I’d gotten this from the very beginning, but maybe this Hamilton Beach version is an improvement on everyone else learning experiences? Even when half-awake and stumbling, it is dependable to easily load and will produce a reliably good cup of coffee– tall or short. And I’ve used whatever brand is on sale. As an added bonus, even guaranteed-to-explode, and make-a-mess pumpkin-spice pods, if you follow the suggested amount of water, manage for a good, clean cup of coffee. Also, the alternate-use, pod-free ground-coffee dispenser works quite well and is easily stored in the cup-stand. The entire system is simple to clean, including unclogging the needles. Hint: use filtered water so you don’t get the inevitable mineral build-up, and occasionally simply disassemble and rinse the brewing mechanism. AND watch the quick video on how to do this. I wish I’d known about these processes before retiring the three or four predecessors to this Hamilton Beach FlexBrew since pod-brewing was first introduced. Very happy. Perhaps this one can grow old with me?
