From fresh grounds to K-Cup pods, the Hamilton Beach FlexBrew 2-Way Coffee Maker gives you the options to please fans of all types of coffees and quantities. This combo coffee maker lets you brew a full pot using your favorite grounds on the carafe side, or make a cup for yourself using a single-serve pod or grounds on the single-serve side. Each side has an easy-fill water reservoir with separate windows, so there’s never any confusion or over-filling. You can also choose between regular or bold brew strength on both sides. The full-pot side brews up to 12 cups of coffee using grounds. It includes a programmable clock with 2-hour keep warm cycle and automatic shutoff, automatic pause and serve. The single-serve side can brew up to 10 oz. with single-serve pod, or 14 oz. travel mug with grounds. A removable cup rest doubles as a storage container for single-serve pods or to hold the brew basket.

This pot as well as the last pot we had, when we perk a full pot of coffee the grounds are in our coffee and I use the standard 12 cup coffee filters. I am going to contact Home Depot to see about replacing this pot as I’ve only had it a couple of months and I have a maintenance agreement on it.Otherwise love the pot

I got this coffee maker a week ago and love it. The ability to make a full pot and a single cup is wonderful. Sometimes all you want is a cup or need just one more after the pot is gone. It’s easy to set up the clock and timer for it to go off before you get up in the morning. Another great feature is the carafe. It has a little lip thing that makes it possible to pour the water in without the water dripping all over the place!!!

I got this machine about a week ago and have really put it through it’s paces since then! I have a k-cup that I love but my husband really loves his brewed pot and fresh ground beans. Up until now we’ve been using 2 machines to accommodate our separate tastes. Well, NO MORE!! Hamilton Beach has done it again! They have made life simple and affordable in our house. Out of the box, the flex brew really surprised me! I thought it was going to be one of those huge machines that would take up the valuable real estate that is known as my kitchen counter top but it wasn’t and takes up a LOT less space than my previous setup. It’s pretty compact and being black with silver colored accents, it fits in very well with my stainless kitchen. If you aren’t familiar with this type of appliance, I highly suggest reading the set up guidelines in the manual. They have also included a quick guide for the single cup side. Weighing in at just 13 lbs, it was easy for me to set up on my own. It has a 12 cup carafe for your “gotta have a whole pot” days and 2 inserts for the single cup side. One is for cups or pods with the needles to make the punctures and the other is for your own grounds and has a mesh filter built into the bottom sides. There is no need for you to purchase any extra parts! In the removable drip tray there is storage to hold on of those inserts while you use the other. The tank for the single cup will hold up to 14 oz of water, although you can brew a smaller cup if you so desire. The brew options for the single cup begin at 6 oz and the side of the tank is marked with 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 oz. This machine does not have a holding tank for the single cup side, so whatever amount of water you put in the tank is the amount of coffee that you will be brewing. For k-cup users, the max is 10 oz since using more than that will result in weak coffee but if you use the included filter for your own coffee, this will not be a problem. Because this system brews whatever you put in the tank, it takes longer since it is heating all of the water in the tank and not heating some in advance. This unit’s k-cup holder has larger needle holes so the water runs through the grounds faster but it’s a little louder than I expected. I loved how stylish this unit is! It’s built to look similar to the more high end models without the price tag. It also has a digital, lighted display that I loved! It easy to read and clearly shows the time, which function (carafe or single cup) and brew strength (regular or bold). Flexbrew also offers the option of pre-setting your 12 cup brewer to wake you up with fresh coffee and is very easy to set up. All in all I really like this brewer! It has great features, is stylish and offers options if you have 2 people who are as different as my husband and I are when it comes to their coffee preferences.

I’m usually the only coffee drinker in my house who only likes to drink a single cup a day, but every so often I have a guest who also wants coffee or want to take a cup to work. With this coffee maker I can brew a whole pot or a single cup using a k-cup or the included single brew pod. I love the brew pod! I can now use my favorite coffee without spending a fortune on k-cups, but can still use them if I want a flavored coffee. The single cup side can brew 8 oz or a 12 oz of coffee, which is prefect for my travel mug. It can be set to brew at bold or regular strength. I can also program to have a pot ready when I wake up. I wish I could program it to brew a single cup, but it brews quickly. I also love the fact that it turns off after not being used for a bit, because I often forget if I turned off the coffee maker or not.

Makes a good K-cup and carafe of hot coffee. What I donot like is measuring a cup of water to the dispenser everytime you want a single cup of coffee or tea instead of having a resevour of water for a few cups. That is just nuts to measure every time you want a cup of coffee. Not convenient at all. Was looking to purchase a gift for my son and wife for their anniversary but the lack of not being able to make a few k cups at a time would drive them crazy.
