With just the lowering of the lid and the press of a button, you can have a single cup of hot coffee, brewed from a K-Cup** pod or your own grounds. This single-serve coffee maker lets you brew up to 10 oz. with a single pod, or up to a 14 oz. travel mug with grounds. With an easy-fill water reservoir and water-window, theres never any confusion or over-filling. You can also choose between regular or bold brew strength. A removable cup rest doubles as a storage container to hold the brew basket or single-serve pod holder when not in use. The included grounds basket is reusable, and the single-serve pod-piercing assembly removes for easy cleaning.

The Flexbrew is well made and easy to use. I like that it has a water gauge so you can put in the right amount of water for the type of coffee you are making, whether from a coffee pod or ground coffee. The temperature of the coffee is nice and hot. The funnel and the coffee holder are easy to clean.

When I opened the box I saw a very nice looking machine that looked like all the rest but that was just a quick first impression, after tinkering with every part on the unit and cleaning the system per the instructions in the manual I noticed the design was made for ease and usefulness. I was also very impressed on how easy they made it for us to clean the needle that pokes the hole in the top of the single serve pack.The single serve pack holder and the brew basket is very easy to take in and out and to clean, you don’t even have to study the manual for two hours in order to achieve the goal of the task nor do you have to be a world champion thumb wrestler to install the single serve packs.This simple machine is made simply perfect and makes a perfect cup of coffee every time at the perfect temperature. When it gets done you don’t have any annoying warning bells or whistles but what it does have is is a pump that pushes the water out of the lines so that water doesn’t set and grow mold,which is great for my future cups of coffee.

I stated using this coffee maker as soon as I got it, and the non K-Cup holder is very easy to use. Cleanup is a bit messy, but I’ve found the easiest way to capture the used grounds is to just dump them onto a paper towel. Then just wash the holder and put it away. The brewing is quiet, very rapid, and both the bold and normal settings work very well. I use it daily.I haven’t yet tried the K-Cup feature as I’ve no K-Cups. As soon as I do, I’ll add to my review.

Up front, I want to say that I was gifted this coffee maker for an honest review.I don’t use K-cups so, this review will be based upon just using the grounds basket. As far as the quality of the machine, it looked very impressive. A bit larger than I expected but, that viewpoint is based upon someone who hasn’t updated their 1 Cup coffee maker purchased at RiteAid for $10 over 15 years:). Anyhow, I made my first cup of coffee in the Hamilton Beach Flex Brew tonight. I used 2 Tablespoons of a newly opened bag of Gevalia House Blend Medium Roast with 8 ounces of water…the same measurements I use every morning in my old 1C coffee maker. I selected the strong brew button first time out and, it did make a stronger cup of coffee so, that was a big improvement. Like my coffee strong but don’t want to have to use any more coffee to GET it that way. Water boils in the back reservoir which I also like since, the finished cup of coffee is hotter in the cup rather than the spurts of hot water coming out in increments as with my older model. All and all, a nice improvement to my morning cup of coffee experience. Sorry about not testing it with a K-cup. I’m old school so, using a K-cup for grounds when you can brew grounds in the separate filter they provide doesn’t make sense to me. Maybe all machines don’t have that extra brew basket so, if not , that’s a real plus for this machine.

While this coffee maker has a pleasant look to it, it has a large footprint for being a “Single Serve.” It is very good quality & it’s features make it easy to maintain & clean. However, the 2 brew settings are not explained well. I wouldn’t call where the water goes a”reservoir” as it doesn’t save water for the next cup, i.e. what you put in is what comes out.

I like the size of this product- my kitchen is small and it fits perfectly; love the idea of choosing pods as well as grinds (it has a fine mesh metal filter to put the loose coffee grounds in), and because of the adjustable cup rest and 14 oz. water reservoir, you can have a big “to-go” mug. You may “brew” plain water through unit for hot tea or hot chocolate, too.

I like the quietness of this brewer. It has two settings for brew types bold or regular which turns a regular pod into a great day starter if you need it strong. I like that it doesn’t take up a lot of counter space!

The Hamilton Beach FlexBrew Single-Serve Coffee K-cup makes one great hot cup of coffee. Taking it out of the box it looks very nice and looks good on the counter. The instructions are easy to understand, the simplicity of the FlexBrew is user friendly, cleaning after putting in a K-cup pod is a breeze, you always have a clean coffee maker for every use. The beauty of this K-cup coffee maker is one cup at a time, I use filtered water for each cup, that’s me personally, it’s not necessary but I live in an area that has hard water. I would highly recommend the Hamilton Beach single serve K-cup FlexBrew to my family and friends, hope to have a lot of good cups of coffee for the future. When the time comes to replace this coffee maker it’s an easy choice to get an other one……..

I received this a few weeks ago and it was great. My Keurig has just broke and I needed a new machine. This coffee maker allowed me to use regular coffee which has saved me so much money, no more expensive k cups. I am so happy to use coffee I like and make it as I see fit as well if I want it strong I can but yet if someone wanted a k cup you can still use it. Great when you get the free KCup samples you can try it. I also liked how easy you can fit a travel mug into the machine with it was so simple place it under the machine and your good to go nothing to move around or take out it’s simplciity.
