First, the positives. It is small and does not take up too much space on the counter, it has a sleek stainless steel high end look, and clean up is easy. The negatives, it is hard to consistently get a good cup of coffee. The first cup I made was really good. The next few were just okay and I even had a couple that were not good at all. We can’t figure out what the deciding variable is that is making the difference. We use the same coffee, same amount of coffee and water and the same setting. I would be interested to know if anyone else is experiencing issues with consistency of taste between cups?

I like product with only one exception.My unit does not brew coffee hot enough. It needs to be at least 5 degrees hotter.Joe

Bought this Hamilton single coffee maker several months a go from Home Depot.. I am a fussy coffee drinker and wanted a single coffee maker with little or no plastic. Hence no water reservoir.. It’s to be used for when I am short on time. (I normally use my lg stainless steel or small porcelain French press) This Hamilton single coffee maker works great.. It is fast, uses less coffee and the coffee is hot.(just don’t use a COLD cup.. I like the way one can adjust the size of container.. A great price……. Just a side note… At first I could taste “Plastic”, so I ran plain cold water through it several times and could still taste “Plastic”… I removed the bottom filter cup bc it had more plastic and I didn’t feel it needed 3 filters.. Still plastic taste.. Then I noticed I was putting in more COLD water then coming out.. So I turned the machine upside down (over the sink) and out came water… I measured it and sure enough, it was more water then came out.. So now, when I make coffee, I just empty the extra water (a small inconvenience). No buying those little coffee cups, no re-usable filter cups, no filter papers and using less coffee to make a great tasting HOT coffee.. And a GREAT PRICE…
