There ar 14 blending functions for a variety of uses. I love the wide glass blender jar that is easy to fill and easy to clean. Love this blender. Used to make frozen drinks, smoothies, crush ice and frozen fruit. Works great. Need to use the pulse setting a few times to get the ice and frozen fruit down to the blades but that is pretty standard in other blenders I have used. Love the glass pitcher and how easy it cleans.

Love the sleek base design on Model 54220. Does not tip over.With a 700-watt motor, powerful enough to crush ice, if properly prepped for processing. Always allow cubes to sit ~5 minutes, filling only 1/3 way in blender for ice to move freely. Add a bit of liquid and pulse 5 – 7 times in short, 2-second bursts.Crushed stale homemade French bread into fine crumbs.Great for large batches of whipped chocolate milk, all types of milk shakes, etc.Easy-to-clean wide-mouth glass jar.Snap-on lid fits very snugly, but a bit of force is required to remove. Vent in top of lid for hot liquids, such as soup, but plastic vent cover tends not to always snap in place.All-in-all, great value for a very good blender.

I’ve had this for a while, but had been very busy. Finally got to use it for Memorial Day. We made many frozen drinks for the adults and milkshakes for the younger ones. Wonderful! Every thing about it! It performed great no matter what we threw at it. Will recommend to any and all.

I received my new Wave Crusher Blender today and it is amazing, I previously had the older version and this one is definitely improved in its power and speed. I easily made a smoothie that was full all the way to the top and it easily blended it up, no problem. I used the Smoothie speed and there are 2 more speed choices that are higher that I did not even need. It easily comes apart for thorough cleaning. I would highly recommend this product.

I was very happy with the size of this glass pitcher, very easy to fill and to clean. Holds a large amount and all the ingredients eventually reach the bottom. Surprised at the power, does not bounce around like some. several different settings are appropriate for the ingredient. I really like the clean button, gentle but effective. The noise is normal, not obnoxious but its a blender. Overall I feel this blender performs as a blender should. I made delicious smoothies, ice cold snowcones and was very happy with the outcome every time.

Got this a few weeks ago and thought perfect timing with summer here “ICY DRINKS FOR EVERYONE!” I learned not to overfill otherwise it won’t do what you need it to do which is crush, chop, puree, blend, etc. The easy spout with hinged cap lets you easily add more ice, cut food or liquid. It is easy to clean, even a button for that too. I have used it for almost everything breakfast, lunch, dinner, and icy treat. You can get a food chopper attachment which is cool.

Does it make a good smoothie? Yes it’s does, but it’s really loud while using it. When you crush ice it’s super loud. It’s really easy to clean like the hide away cord.

Fun to use as I went through the 14 speeds like a NASCAR driver going to the gears.You can find the perfect speed for the task at hand.Additional features such as the pop up pouring spout, the wave action blending motion and a great ice crushing capability make this force me to retire and put away my other blender.Another plus is the large 40 oz capacity glass jar.I wish I had this before I bought the 3 previous blender that did not perform as well as this model.Kudos to Hamilton Beach for designing, producing and pricing a tool that over achieves all that it does.
