Works great. I bought this one because it has a stronger motor than some of the others. The only thing I don’t like about it so far is the plastic surrounding the base of the glass container is a bit flimsy, but it’s not part of the working parts, so no biggie.

Perfect blender for the price, it is not loud, it grinds food very well, it sounds and looks very solid and well designed. I would put 5 star, but didn’t because when filling up the jar to max level it will come out some liquid out of the lid when blending. Other than that, very happy with it.

I bought this when I discovered that the pre-braces dental appliances my orthodontist installed would be a major impediment to eating as usual for 8 weeks or longer. I had done without a blender fine before and eventually probably will again, so I just wanted something basic to make foods that I enjoy which have become impossible to eat normally at least still possible to eat. This blender isn’t fancy, but seems to meet my needs as well as any for all I know, the price was modest, the quality seems good and certainly Hamilton Beach has been around for as long as I can remember, and the 3 yr warranty seems to be 3 times as long as most similarly priced competitors’. It’s simple to operate, assemble, disassemble and clean. In a nutshell, it performs the functions I bought it for at a price that seemed right, so no complaints!

Glass jar is heavy. Base of the jar, blades, lid and jar are four separate parts – so good for cleaning. Make sure it’s assembled properly every time you use.
