It works smoothly, I like the blender cup. I was looking for a glass blender and this one is nice, holds a good amount and blends well. Yes it makes some noise but nothing crazy. The smoothie jar and smoothie operation work great also! Only reason I took a star off is because food processor doesn’t really chop, it’s more minced so great for garlic I’m sure. Maybe it minced my veggies because I filled it and to get to all of them I had to chop for a bit. If you don’t fill it you will be chopping hardly anything and you might as well chop manually. I used my veggies for soup so it was ok but don’t see a salsa coming out of this processor.

Hamilton Beach Multiblend 52 oz. it is a powerful blender (motor) for the price! I love the thick clear glass jug; it is made with quality! It has convenient measurements embossed on the glass. Parts, blade, etc. removes for sterilization. I wash it immediately after use, so I haven’t had to put it in the dishwasher, but I think the glass and blade are going to do well in the dishwasher. I recommend washing the lid and the plastic base part by hand. The plastic lid is not made as strong as the motor base or glass jug, which is why I would recommend washing this part in hot water. If you need a blender that mixes with a super fine texture of smooth baby food puree, this blender will not blend to that fine consistency. For the price it is really a quality product! It’s a wonderful blender and it also mixes ice into smoothies! They don’t take up much space. It is attractive and I can easily leave it on my kitchen counter.
