I read reviews of a number of more expensive hand blenders. People complained they were too weak, they were too hard to take apart, too hard to clean, hard to operate, or poorly made. So I figured I would try this one and if it didn’t satisfy, I wouldn’t be out too much money. I am incredibly impressed. It seems well made. It is easy to attach the blender blade and take it off for cleaning. The gadget works great. My wife likes to make soup and just finished a big pot of butternut squash soup. She cooks up chunks of roasted squash in stock to make the soup, and then blend it. It used to be a big mess to put it in the big blender and back into the soup pot. Several big blenders full. This gadget did the job in seconds. Just stick it in the soup pot and grind away. I don’t know if it can deal with frozen fruit or ice or other hard stuff, but for soup it is great. It definitely meets our expectations. This is the first time she used it, so we don’t know how long it will last, but so far there is no reason to think it will not last a long time. She is very happy with it.
