This machine was exceptional. A little heavy but great speed. Soft scrape tools performed well. Mixed everything quickly.

I am so happy with my Hand Mixer. It can be used for all my blending needs. I especially like the SoftScrape Beaters for my plastic mixing bowls It has enough power when I make brownies that are very thick. I would recommend it to anyone buying a mixer for the first time

Very sturdy, well constructed, powerful. None like I’ve ever used. Love all the beater attachments.

This hand mixer is extremely user friendly for the small kitchen. The storage case is the perfect size and shape to put in a cabinet when it’s not in use. I love the idea of the attachments with the mixer so I’m not scrounging my kitchen looking for the attachments. The whisk attachment was super useful for mixing eggs. The SoftScrape mixers really cleared off the sides of the bowl, the only downside was they are a little more difficult to clean because of the rubber like material. All in all an awesome addition to my kitchen.

The motor on this Hamilton Beach SoftScrape 6 Speed Hand Mixer with Case is about half again as powerful as my old hand mixer, and matches or exceeds the wattage on many stand mixers I would have considered if I’d had the space for one in my kitchen. The manual is very brief and lacks recipes — but people buying hand mixers doubtless already know what they want to use them for, and therefore don’t need detailed instructions. The snap-on case was a new feature to me, but I figured it out quickly enough, and it’s certainly a compact way to store all of the included beaters. (If one springs for additional optional accesories, however, you might want to either secure the mixer’s power cord with a rubber band outside the case, or find someplace handy to store the extra attachments.) The arrow on the underside of the mixer clearly indicates which beater socket to use if you’re only using a single-beater attachment such as the whisk, and possibly also indicates which socket should have a beater inserted first when 2 beaters are being used. (Listen for the click as the beater snaps into place before turning the mixer right-side up, however, or the beaters will fall out.)I prepared both skin-on mashed potatoes and pineapple upside-down cake batter with the SoftScrape beaters, cornbread batter with the traditional metal beaters, and a non-dairy whipped topping for the cake with the whisk. The plastic batter bowl I used for everything but the mashed potatoes was plenty tall enough to prevent any splattering while mixing, even when I had the mixer turned to its highest speed while mixing the whipped topping. The Dutch oven I mixed the mashed potatoes in was shallower, and I held it with 1 arm curved around as a “splash guard” while mixing, but there was minimal splattering then, too. I had seen concerns elsewhere about such a powerful mixer having a tendency to splatter food around one’s kitchen; however, based upon my own experience, I think that a few common-sense measures (use tall mixing bowls, and use the lowest speed setting that will get the job done) can prevent the vast majority of splatters.None of the foods I mixed required scraping down the bowl during mixing (although thicker things like cookie dough might); I just ran the beaters (regardless of type) around the edge of the bowl to knock loose stuff. The SoftScrape beaters were probably a little quieter and gentler on the bowl than the metal beaters, though, didn’t scratch the Dutch oven, and held up well under the heat of just-boiled potatoes.I hadn’t thought I needed a new hand mixer yet, but the powerful motor, sturdy-but-gentle SoftScrape beaters and convenient snap-on case of this Hamilton Beach hand mixer have me sold. (Oh, and if you like stainless-steel major appliances, the stainless-steel finish of this mixer will match them perfectly.) Well-recommended!

The power is awesome and love the selection of beaters! Where have you been all of my life Hamilton Beach® SoftScrape™ 6 Speed Hand Mixer with Case!

This is a very nice mixer with a strong motor. The only con I have about it is that it’s slow speed “1” is a lot stronger than I am used to in hand mixers. Just be aware! I did not recieve the dough hooks with mine but I’m sure the motor is strong enough to handle them. The silicone coated beaters worked well at helping clean the sides of the bowl as I was mixing and clean up was easy.

This is by far my favorite mixer! I’ve always had a KitchenAid hand mixer and it never was strong enough for thicker batter. This mixer is 10 times quicker/stronger and the rubber on the beaters don’t scratch my bowls. It’s a great price too!

I’m happy to reviewing this mixer with case, the softScrape beaters aren’t scratching my glass bowls, or leaving silver lines in my sink when I pop them out.The case makes it easier to store everything, so I’m not hunting through the drawer to find the right beaters. I love the wisk attachment. Makes quick work of anything your making.

This mixture has just about everything you want. It comes with 3 different beaters one is the soft whisk the other is the regular beater and the last one is the soft scrape. The soft great is great for getting around the bowl as your mixing and cleaning the sides of it making sure you get everything mixed properly. It also has a burst of power so if you’re on a lower speed and you need a quick burst it will do that then. It also comes with a handy little case for your mixer.

Once again Hamilton Beach has thought of the users of their products. The simple hand mixer comes with 6 speeds, regular beaters, a whisk and the new soft scrape beaters with a convenient storage bin. Plenty of power for most needs. So clever you wonder why no one thought of it earlier.

I love this hand mixer. It is light weight and easy to use, but it has muscle, It works great for mashed potatoes but is capable for use in some pretty thick cookie dough too. I like the whipping attachment for eggs and the beaters that can be used in “Teflon” type pans. I am very please.

Great hand mixer – love the silicon-covered beaters. Only gave a 4-start because, although the storage base to sit the mixer on is a terrific idea, it is way too light in weight and does not work well with the mixer cord.

This hand mixer is so much better than my old one, I find I pick it up instead of using my stand mixer. Love the soft beaters – work really well in my steel bowls. It has amazing power for thick and heavy mixing.

It’s a bit heavy, I’m older woman with arthritis, love the storage and whip beater #1 setting too fast to beat eggs.
