The instruction manual is very clear and easy to follow. The bottom of the grinder pulls open to reveal a hidden storage space where you wind up the cord. No more cords on the counter. You pour the coffee beans in the metal grinding chamber up to the desired level. You replace the grinding cover back onto the grinder making sure it locks in place. On the front you can set the grinder to the amount you are grinding. There is a dial to set Coarse, Medium or Fine grinds. It’s handy when you push the On/Off button you don’t have to hold it. It stays on until you push it again to stop the grinding. The whole grinding chamber removes for easy cleaning in hot soapy water. There is a small brush that fits in a space on the back of the grinder. It runs quietly except for the beans spinning around. Would make a nice gift for any coffee lover.

This was bought to replace one we had from a few years ago. It grinds well. Unfortunately, the lid had broken (the plastic in the area where it locks in with the base), and we couldn’t just replace the lid.

I had the Malita (identical in looks) for several years until it quit working, and hoped this would be as effective. The settings for the grind don’t seem to make much change in the end product. Time will tell. Grinder is probably as good as any in it’s price range.

I have had this for about a week or so now and I am so glad I have this coffee grinder. It is actually more than just a coffee grinder but it is ONE great coffee grinder. First thing I really noticed was the size. To me it was small but believe me it is very powerful. I am sure you may be thinking that is is too small to grind good coffee but you would be mistaken. Shown disassembled. The height is 8 inches tall and it is 3 ½ inches across the top. The ‘grinding cup’ fits easily into the motor base and the clear plastic cover locks in place for safety. The stainless grinding cup has measurements on the inside for convenient measuring.You can see the maximum marks for coffee and for spices. This is to give you the best grind for what you are wanting to use. Notice as well the cutting blades with one pointing up and one pointing down to give you complete grind on your choice of product being used.Also you see for your convenience and safety the positions for locking the grinding cup into place. I have filled my grinder up for 12 cups of grind coffee. You can see the finished grind and you see it is accurate. 12 cups of fresh ground coffee. Nothing better than fresh ground coffee. I made enough for my friends and everyone said it was the best they had ever tasted. Sure the beans are the favor but having a good grind is just as important. With the Hamilton Beach Grinder/Coffee Grinder you will have the best grind there is to have whether it is 12 cups or just a lesser amount for your needs. I got this to have fresh coffee each morning and I do. Best of all the size allows me to store it on my counter. Now the cord, it not a problem either. It stores in the base. The two pictures show how easy it is to store and keep the cord safely out of the way. The base pulls down slightly so you can wrap the corn around the pole in base and then the base just pushes back up. BOOM the cord is out of the way.I hope you get this grinder for yourself to have the fresh taste of coffee each morning or anytime you want a great cup of coffee. Best grinder I have tried and I have tried several including the manual crank ones. Stylish and convenient. You will not go wrong with this grinder.Now I have to find some spices to try…Happy grinding!

I have used this grinder at with fine, medium & coarse grinds and they are true. The stainless steel basket is easy to remove & replace. The little clean-out brush attached to back is very handy. I can’t get over how quiet it is! I had to quit using my old grinder because it woke everyone in the house up! Now I can grind coffee any time I want to. Love the cord wrapping easily inside the base. You can use the cup measurement slider, but not necessary, when my beans look like they have all been ground, I just push the on/off button that is inside the grind selector dial. Small foot print, only 8 inches tall & bottom is 4 3/8 wide.
