We had an older model of this grinder for many years and were quite happy with it. When the plastic cover broke and the grinder was getting pretty noisy, we decided to replace it with the newer model. The first one that arrived was defective and didn’t work at all. We returned it and ordered another one and the second one works great. It is a little loud but grinds just as well as a burr grinder at a fraction of the cost and takes up less counter space. I’d give it four and a half stars.

I am generally happy with this grinder. It makes quick work of grinding beans for my morning drop filter, for which I use a medium grind. I haven’t tried fine or coarse grinds, but with some adjustment of settings I’d expect it to be fine. The grinder is also good for spices.Cleanup is quick, but the provided brush is stored at the rear of the grinder, which is not so convenient.Another small frustration is that it’s difficult to get the cable back into the onboard storage. Not a problem if you leave the cable out.

I loved the previous version of Hamilton Beach’s Custom Grind, so I was a little disappointed with this model. It is bulkier than the original and is a little harder to hold one handed. It grinds just as good and is almost as easy to clean. I probably would have given it 5 stars if I had never owned the earlier model.

Easy to set up/use and there’s a few parts all together but it makes cleaning a lot easier since you can take most everything apart to give it a quick wipe down in between grinds. Super quiet machine and it’s efficient, definitely doesn’t wake up the house like my old one is prone to doing at early mornings. Definitely recommend if you need to make small batches to keep coffee fresh and everything.

I love the removable grinding cup although I did find it a bit difficult to remove and the hidden cord storage was wonderful. The grinder was fairly quiet and did a great job of grinding. I would definitely recommend.

I bought this as a replacement. The cover on my current grinder (exact same one) was dropped one too many times and I have to hold it tight so it still grinds. I was excited to see that I could buy it at Home Depot!

My old, really cheap ($15) grinder died during the COVID lock down, and about 6 months ago ordered this slightly more expensive one from Home Depot based solely on reviews. Well, the reviewers were right. This coffee grinder is great. I really like being able to remove the bowl to wash it, but it also allows me to put the bowl on my kitchen scale and weigh the beans for each pot of coffee. Combine that with the auto cutoff and the grounds are consistent every time. No more guessing how long to hold down a button. Now I just press the button once and wait for it to finish. I love the ritual of grinding my coffee every morning. Couldn’t be happier.

Works very well is a little bit noisy though. Would be nice if the entire cord was able to be wrapped into the base instead of a few inches left and a longer cord would be good too.

I use my Hamilton Beach® Custom Grind™ Coffee Grinder daily. My favorite feature is the round removable stainless steel grinding chamber. The round shape of the grinding chamber just makes sense. Unlike rectangular designs, the chamber fits right into my French Press for a mess-free transfer of coffee grinds. My family appreciates the convenience of the hands-free grinding button and that the noise level during grinding is low. It’s nice to be able to step away and not worry about waking up the house! A suggestion is to move the lid-locking prompt from the back of the product to a more visible spot. I fear that forcibly closing the lid could result in scratches or cracks. Overall, I’m very pleased with this product. I use it with my Hamilton Beach® electric kettle for great French Press coffee!

This coffee grinder was just a little difficult to figure out how to use the first time. Once I figured it out though, it was great! It is pretty simple to use and allows you to choose your grind and how many cups of coffee you are making. It handles the beans well and really does coarse to fine grinding. You will not be sorry you bought this, especially if you are using a french press.

I like all the features – the timer turns off the grinder when the selected amount of beans has been ground. Also, I like that I can select the amount of beans to put in related to the amount of cups of coffee I am making. It is a nice size too.
