This nailer worked great. Set compressor at 70 lbs and every staple went all the way in. Used 500 staples for 150 sq ft of unfinished 3/4 red oak. Had to buy more at local Home Depot and they had them in stock.Ready for the next room soon.

If you’ve got flooring to install or sections to repair, this is a great, solidly built unit to have. The included mallet is an impressive piece in itself. It’ll handle both 16ga L cleats or 15.5ga staples, 1-1/2 to 2″, both are easy to load. It comes with an already installed, standard 1/4 fitting for your air supply, 70-115psi. It comes with two different, non-marring floor plates, 3/4 and 5/8″. Allen wrenches are included, along with a box of staples. The user’s guide is clear and easily understood.

We purchase this great tool for installing over 1500 sq./ft of oak hard wood flooring and so far we have installed over 300 sq./ft without a single problem, misfire or jam. We are using BOSTITCH FLN-200 2-Inch Flooring L-Nail cleats and a Porter-Cable pancake compressor to drive the nailer. The other great thing is that we purchase this nailer on one of these Home Depot 1-day online sales for $40 less than the current price … Awesome!!!

This is a very good floor nailer. I tend to go for the more cost effective selection for floor nailers because I have put down numerous hardwood floors and have went through numerous for nailers in the process. This floor nailer has three good features, one is the high density plastic handle. This makes the tool lighter and after a long day of installing hardwood you appreciate the lighter tool. I didn’t know if I would like this feature because of durability, but so far this has not been an issue. The second is that it takes both staples and cleats. and third the easy quick release nose to make quick work out of clearing jams. Only had one jam but this feature sure makes it easier and a big time saver. The last thing this nailer is very cost effective while still being very functional and getting the job done. Also comes with a mallet and the shoes for both 5/8 and 3/4 inch flooring and 500 staples.

I think this is a good consumer level flooring nailer. Cost is good enough to validate for a one-project purchase. It takes some getting used to the air pressure versus how hard you hit it so the nails are driven to the correct depth. I’m doing 3/4 hickory and am running about 100-105 psi. I plan on giving it to a friend when done so they can do their floor. I’m also running it on the cheapest air compressor HD sells and it uses surprisingly little air, so my compressor is keeping up just fine. Would highly recommend for a DIY job, would go up a few levels in quality if you are a contractor and plan on using it for thousands of SF of flooring installation. I am up to about 100 SF of floor installed and have had zero jams, zero misfires, and zero double shots.
