It may not work for a contractor but as a tool for home use it was perfect and did exactly what it was designed to do – drive a lot of nails in tight quarters.

This is a mighty-mite. Seems to work very well.

it works okay but like the others it will not take a 16D nail although they all say they can. the best thing about it is the back of the unit where the palm of your hand rests on the tool, there is no oil spray like on some others, keeps hand clean.

This little nailer can drive a 3” nail in seconds.

This little beast is hammmering in 3-1/2″ nails like nothing is gonna stop it. Best money I have spent in a while

I was framing out my basement with hammer and nails. I was able to build most of my walls on the floor. I had two walls which required me to attach the headers last. I could not get around the pipes with hammer and nail. I saw this at Home Depot and thought for 10 bucks I’d give it a try after reading the positive reviews. It toenailed everything perfectly on the first time every time. I wish I would have had this at the beginning of the project.

The HDX Mini-Palm Nailer is not something I thought would use much, but it has found a spot with my other tools after using it for the first time. I have an air compressor for brads and finish nailing and it seemed logical to get this for larger projects. Found it ridiculously easy to use and the magnetized holder makes driving common type nails a one hand operation . It fits securely in my hand, small and light weight feels natural using it. Having said this, still apply caution as nails under high pressure can still blow out or ricochet on a knot like other nailers. Nails go easily into 2×4’s without effort and although its intended for use in tight spaces can be used anyplace once the compressor’s set up. I’d recommend it for building or repairing an outside deck or other similar type projects. Should have gotten this years ago.

This nailer is working fine so far, but can’t speak to durability as I have only use it once. The air required to use it was a bit higher than other palm nailers I looked at, but if you have a compressor that can provide the air pressure it needs at the rate it needs, it works fine and was the least expensive one I looked at. I was nailing in an area that would have been nearly impossible to do by hand.

I used this nailer to help replace my deck railing. Definitly made a huge difference. With the 20oz hammer I would bent about half the nails. With this nailer I reduced the number to close to zero. Only time the nails bent was when I hit a knot. But that would have happened either way. Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to get this if you are in the market. Only thing to watch out for if if you have a small compressor it will have to run a lot to keep up. Mine did. Also, kinda tricky nailing the 16D nails. Take a little more time and might have to finish the nail with a regular hammer unless you are patient.

It gets the nails in straight or bent. Great value. Got the job done in much less than half the time utilized before trying to do the same thing. Several drill bits were ruined trying to get the job done and barely touched the job as a whole. .

Used to install windows. Lots of nails in the fins. Done in seconds with total control and no effort. And really cheap too.

I’ve never used one of these nailers before, but it works great in spots too tight to swing a hammer or get a screw gun. Seems like it works as it should. For the money, it’s a good value for light duty applications.
Sven Blanda (verified owner) –
This little mini palm nailer was perfect and effective for popping in nails in close quarters.

Comes ready to use. First nail went in crooked, but after that the palm nailer worked great. Nail gun is still better, but in tight places where nail gun will not fit this is great.

Mini Palm Nailer is lightweight and pushes a powerful punch. Has a magnetic tip and fits in the palm of your hand, which helped with the hard to reach places. Powerful enough for all your home DIY’s.Wish I had it during my bathroom redo, but now the rest of my redo will be with ease. Awesome tool.

I bought the palm nailer as part of the HDX set. I didn’t think I would use it but I was mistaken. I’ve used it a few times with satisfactory results. I recommend the HDX palm nailer.
