WORKS GREAT FOR ITS SIZE AND PRICE. GREAT IN TIGHT SPACES WHERE YOU CAN’T SWING A HAMMER. I WOULD GIVE IT 5 STARS BUT IT HAS TO LAST ME MORE THAN ONE PROJECT FIRST.

This is my first palm nailer and I’ve had it for a little while now. I used it to drive a few hundred stainless steel ring shank nails (1-1/2″ and 3″) when I built a pergola. Driving those nails with a hammer was time consuming and led to a few bent nails, particularly when toe nailing the longer ones. When I switched to the palm nailer, the job became MUCH easier and went by a whole lot quicker. After cranking up the pressure on my compressor up to 110 psi or so, the toe nailed 3″ ring shank nails went in with relative ease. The 1-1/2″ nails went in without a hitch. The nailer is very compact, making it easy to get into tight spaces. I highly recommend using hearing protection during use as it is pretty loud. Performance, as mentioned above, has been stellar. Quality seems fine given its price point. The only real issue I’ve had with it is that after hooking it up to my compressor, it leaks air out of the piston area (I think). I have to press it against a board or something to activate it, which then stops the air leak. Slightly annoying, but no big deal.

Ok, the price says not a real high quality item. It isnt, however, it does work and it does do well enough to get tac strip nailed places where a hammer will not fit. Overall, I would recommend it to a friend for similar work.

The little nailer is small but quickly sinks nails. It worked perfectly for my hard to get at location.

HDX Palm min-nailer small size fits nicely in hand. I bought it to re-set nails that had backed out on a large old deck. The nailer easily set the nails just below the decking surface without making dents in the decking. For this purpose or for use with nails it is rated for this nailer works fine and at the price it was a great deal. But don’t expect it to have have power to drive nails bigger than it is intended for. Used it on one project so far so I can’t say how durable it will be. So far I’m very happy with the tool.

I have built 2 decks since my purchase of 2 mini palm nailers. I have used high dollar nailers before. These have performed as well as those did. Excellent for the 1 1/2″ joist hanger nails even the 45 degree hangers. It will drive a 3 1/2″ nail but it’s a little slow due to its small size and weight. Still the lite weight saved us from fatigue on the decks.

very comfortable to your hands!!! This little guy has tremendous power. I was working with 4″ nails and this HDX Palm Nailer hit the nails like an elephant leg.

This is very easy to use and compact. LOVE how it fits perfectly in my hand. It easily drives nails in those hard to reach areas. Makes framing go even faster with out having to carry around a big heavy and bulky framing gun. Perfect for any framing job.

Worked well putting in 16d nails in a confined space.

This thing is great bang for the buck, really made driving nails into 12″ OC joist hangers a breeze.

I bought this planning to use it for small panel nails with only 3/16″ heads. the heads were too small to allow the tool to function and they got jammed inside. I have not tried it with anything else. I suspect it would work well with a 6 penny wood shingle nail or some such, but not for small nails or brads. It operates like a pneumatic hammer by the way, and not with a single punch.

The palm nailer works just as expected and is an excellent value compared to the other brands that sell for up to 6x the price. I’ve already convinced (easily) a coworker to purchase this same model.
