I just got finished using this. Purchased on March 25 and finally wore out around Oct 1st. So it lasted 6 months. I get chronic fatigue, sometimes immediately, from drinking the tap water. I get tired after drinking coffee in public cafes. I think it is the chlorine because it happened out of state too. My tap water tastes terrible, unbearable, but this filter did a fantastic job. Prior to this, I bought the advanced lead reduction Brita filter because I have a Brita holder under the sink and I had to replace that after 2 months. So, this one lasted a lot longer. I drink 2-3 large pitchers a day plus two pots of coffee, so I used it a lot. I just wanted to give a post consumption review in case others were wondering if it was sufficient. It is. It was cloudy for a week though but that went away. It’s a great filter. Now, I live next to a gas power generator that’s chugging along most of the year and I’m sure I need a chemical reduction filter at this point. Thanks HDX.

We replaced two filters for a friend who wasn’t able to do it on her own. Since the filtration system was purchased at Home Depot, we took the box to our local store to get replacement filters. Much to our dismay, Home Depot doesn’t carry them anymore on the store shelves; they went to a different brand. So we had to go to the internet to find them, which isn’t bad, but there would have been no way our friend could have accessed the internet to find them herself. It was frustrating to know that in less than a year, the store shelves were stocked with a different brand. As for the product itself, it worked fine and installation was easy.

The filter preformed very well. We just had to have a new well drilled and we used this filter as a whole house filter to clean up the water which still had a lot of lime rock in it. This is actually for an under sink filter but it did the job we needed it to do.

Easy to install as we needed to replace the last one. Saved us a trip to the store by having it delivered. Excellent drinking water quality. Not a lot of pressure but totally acceptable.

This filter makes our home water drinkable. This filter is a little expensive, but it is effective for removing bad taste and smells. Helps my coffee taste better too! Been using these filters for a few years. I’ve used the less expensive type of filter, but this has been the best. I use my filter system to filter the water before it enters my refrigerator. Great water, great ice!

As said before the hole is too small. If you use a drill to make the hole bigger the water flows a lot better

I am used to the comparable filter by GE, which was recommemded by the company I purchased the water filter from. As this seemed to accomplish the same as the GE, I decided to try it and save $10. I think the water tasted better with the GE filter, and this is after several weeks of using it. If money is a consideration, I suggest trying it.

Lots of air bubbles for a bit. Water pressure impacted greatly, but worth it for taste.

I tried several brands that did not meet my needs. This filter is priced right and has very high filtration properties. We often get compliments on our drinking water. This filter lasts 6 months. I will continue to use the HDX.

Looks and feels cheaper than the original. But it fit the warter filter & theres no noticeable taste difference in the warter that comes out…..still if the original was available I would pay more this one just felt and seemed cheaply made

some people had lower flow with this filter verses the GE one,,if you look at the end of the filter there is a small hole,it is smaller than the ge one.i turned the filter upside down (so the plastic falls out of the filter not down into it ) and used a small drill bit to open up the hole a few sizes, the drill i had is smaller than the ge hole but quite a bit larger than the original one and works great.I never buy a basic filter, always a premium,I want to get as clean a water as possible. hope this helps.
