Technically speaking this is a wine rack. However, I stepped out of the box and used it to place my floor air conditioner on. It lifted it up about a foot off the ground in order for me too put the hose out of the window …works perfectly. I did not use the center rack , and saved it for another time where in maybe I actually might use it as a wine rack some day . It is very strong and there is no issue with weight on this at all.

This is a smaller version of other HDX steel shelving systems, with plastic semi-circular shims that fit around the round legs and the shelves push down on them to hold it all together. It’s fairly easy to assemble once you get the hang of it, and even easier if you have an extra pair of hands to help you.We put ours in a cabinet because I didn’t want to lose the counter space and I don’t want my wine sitting out in the sun. I like it in the cabinet and it gives me a better place to store wine. It is, however, fairly tall. It takes up some space in my cabinet and required me to move some shelving around. However, now that it’s in, we really like having it where it is. Plus, it’s not permanent so we can change it if necessary.
